There's nothing pointless about giving people options. I would really like to be able to change the colors of the sms bubbles and have a custom ringtone for text messages.

I believe he was being sarcastic, as many comments in here are. Yes it would be nice, but it's also not a game changer.

I agree. It isn't a huge deal but those 2 features are things I would like to see.

It's all Greek to me, lol!!

How can you afford iPhones in Greece anyway when the EU is about to spend hundreds of billions bailing out the economy?!!

Trust me they can afford a $600 phone with no probs.
Just cause politicians screwed up the economy and stole lots of funds over the years from the EU it doesnt mean the country cant afford cellphones.
If you see the Mercedes, BMW's and many high end cars Greeks drive down there you will be amazed.

Neither is anything that is actually in OS 4. So why not give users what they want?

I, as well as many other would disagree with that statement. Multitasking, even faux multitasking, is a big game changer for many people. The only time I have ever wished I had multitasking was so I could listen to Pandora in the background. Not a big deal since I rarely listen to it, but for others, having that capilibity is very important. Folders, fine. That is more of a nice touch that should have been here for awhile, but is probably not a game changer. But enterprise support? If Apple is trying to gain some of the blackberry market, then their increased enterprise updates are a huge game changer. Just because you don't find any of the new features attractive doesn't mean that others don't. Yeah, it is still missing a lot, and for no good reason, but to say there are no game changers is definitely a false statement. Looking from the other way, the lack of anything attractive in OS 4 is a game changer for many people who will now leave the iPhone for something that fits their needs better. So no game changer? The entire OS is a game changer.;)

^^ I'd like to thank you both for responding in a calm, non-fanboyish manner. This forum needs a lot more of that.

Anyway, OS 1 and OS 2 were both definitely game changers. But multitasking? Android and webOS already have it (and might I add, a better implementation of it). App folders? Cool I guess, but not a game changer. Game Center? There's already available game networks that do more. (Yes, I know Apple wants unity...) It's unlikely that I will stick with the iPhone platform in the future, as it's drifting away from my needs. I no longer consider it to be the same revolutionary OS it once was.

Yes, I know this is one person's opinion. If it still suits your needs, that's great. But I'm a bit unsatisfied at this point.

Disclaimer: If anyone responds to this with an angry "no one cares," or, "then get a crappy Android phone," I'll report you. Those immature posts really need to stop.

No single cellphone is perfect for everyone.
If something different out there suits your needs better then move on.

This is possibly one of the coolest features of Voice Control is you can ask what time is it. :D

Just hold down the Home Button until it pops up and say "What time is it?" and it will reply "The time is XX:XX XX"

Cool, eh?

Pointless, eh?

Fixed. :)

I can confirm that the touch screen does in fact, work with Kitty noses and paws. (really, I tried it.) Why wasn't this advertised?!!

Definitely not pointless. If you have headphones in your ear and the phone is in your pocket, you can do this instead of taking the phone out.

Does no one where a watch these days? And how do you know when to talk? If you have to hold the button until something pops up? Anyway, enjoy your feature, I don't like talking to myself in public ;)

No, I don't wear a watch. And there's a sound that warns you when to talk.

The iPhone is definitely not for everybody, if you like to tinker and are very tech savvy then I can see how the android platform would appeal to you a little more. The iPhone appeals to the masses though, those who just want something that works and is intuitive where they dont have to think alot to perform functions. That being said you should definitely go with what appeals more to you.... if you have grown bored with the iPhone then pick up the droid you might love it or you might decide you miss the iPhone. Either way it comes down to personal preference.... and just ignore the few fanboys who make ridiculous comments on here.

Edit: there is the option to jailbreak on the iphone for those who like to tinker... but I dont know if thats a valid argument since you have to alter the phone and it's not an "out of the box" thing.

It's a valid argument to me. It takes a lot of "tinker"ing to jailbreak, wouldn't you say?

The Pre has the best implementation of multitasking on any mobile platform, I'm sure of it.

Android on the other hand...all I know is that there's a reason a task killer is one of the number one apps on the Android marketplace. When I had a HTC Hero I was constantly concerned about what was running in the background because the memory management and auto-killing of background processes was just not good enough. Even if you accidentally jumped into an app and immediately quit it would still run in the background sucking up processes and battery life.

I don't know if it's any better on the latest releases but it was a nightmare when I was on Android. Not very user friendly at all.

I know the answer to this is no but I'd love it if someone could just clarify for me. Seeing as you can now open up word, excel, pages, etc. etc, from an email attachment, it is at all possible to open up an mp3 attachment in the iPod app...Hehe. Wishful thinking, but I wish you could modify songs....

Why bother to post on something you clearly know nothing about :) It beeps in your ear! Then you ask what time it is, tell it who to call, tell it what song to play, etc...I can not imagine why anyone would carry around a watch when they already had a far superior time keeping device....;)
