OK... I've attempted a list in alphabetical order to make it easier to spot if you're coming and I missed you.

Add me plus one in too, although we may already be in the "Macusing friends" bunch anyway

Please note that at this year's MacRumors Picnic party there will be only one alcoholic drink per person; please bring your OWN cup.

OK... I've attempted a list in alphabetical order to make it easier to spot if you're coming and I missed you. I get it to 27 not counting various Motley Crews who are definitely/maybe coming so far who have put their name to the thread...

People coming to the picnic
Applespider
Blue Velvet + motley Macusing crew
Brize
Dietcokevanilla
displaced
domina (and mr domina?) :p
edesignUK (although he hasn't put his name down, I can't imagine he'd miss it!)
EGT (maybe)
Fleurdumal (if we promise not to throw Scotch Eggs)
gekko513
geese
Kernow
Lau + motley crew
lexus
Liketom (so he can go shopping)
miniconvert
mpw
peterkro
raggedjimmi (if his mate can be persuaded to go shopping so he can cadge lift)
robbieduncan
Rohan Moore
satty
sesshi
Skunk + Ms Skunk
Tymmz (if he can get floorspace at satty's)
UberMac's boyfriend (?)
Wintermute (maybe later in the day)

People who wish they were coming to the picnic
2nyRiggz (wrong country)
Abstract (wrong country)
bigandy (wrong end of right country)
blackfox (wrong country)
Chundles (wrong country)
devilot (wrong country)
dmw007 (wrong country)
count chocula (wrong country)
Don't Hurt Me (wrong country)
iGary (wrong country)
jsw (wrong country)
Matt G (wrong country)
max altitude (wrong country)
Mike Teezie (wrong country)
Nickygoat (temporarily wrong country for wrong weekend but sending case of Bordeaux ;p )
srobert (wrong country)
UberMac (at band camp for wrong weekend)

Right and wrong purely in terms of being in London!

And one more on the definite front, myself. Considering I live just round the corner, there would be NO valid excuses for not attending. And I shall be bringing Bart too. The bit of the chosen area north-west of the road is dog-friendly, and people in Regent's Park always clear up after their dogs. Even if the picnic settles in the other bit, Bart is only a little dog, so I can hide him up my T-Shirt if the Parks Constabulary get too close :)

BTW, for those not in the know, Waitrose

Excellent. Just a week to go... Oooo. A little exciting but slightly nerve-wracking.

Must, must, must get emailing. :D

Just checked the weather forecast.

The good news is it forecast 21C and sunny:) , the bad news is that yesterday the cloud and rain forecast for Tue/Wed/Thur was only showing on Tuesday:( .

I'm tempted to bring Hector, too. I'm just wondering whether picnic + small dog = total disaster. Is Bart terrier-compatible?

Awww... he'll probably get spoiled rotten as well. Is he well behaved? Does he like sausages?

How bizarre - you were in the list originally (see the one that lexus quoted) and then vanished

'Twill be good to see you there. Does that mean that first choice is just north of the road then rather than south of it?

If the weather's good, I think it'll be a case of wherever we find a large unoccupied space that'll be the decider. The ornamental flowers bit (Avenue, Bog and English Gardens on the map) tends to fill up really quickly when the sun comes out as they're so close to all the transport, so I'm betting we'll end up north of the road in any case. If the picnic settles south of the Chester Road and "Parkie" does come to complain, I may have to disappear with Bart for 20 minutes, but that really isn't a problem. Don't change the plans to work around me, find a spot and occupy :)

One thing though, as we're drinking, being reasonably close to the toilets is probably a good idea. And the kiosk just north of Chester Road does Ice Cream :D

Bart's everydog-compatible. He's a Schnauzer, which is nearly a terrier anyway. Bring Hector. He's cute as anything :)

EDIT: Here's a quick pic of Bart curled up on our sofa :)

I may be coming.. But I also said I would go around to someone's house that day. I'll see, and hopefully let you know before the day.

You bought a sofa with your dog? Now that's love ;)

Hmm... so we've said 2pm as the 'start' but assume that the 'hardcore' should be there slightly earlier to find space and get things set up. So I'm guessing we should be there between 1-1.30 which would mean being at Waitrose somewhere around 12.30?

Well the weather is glorious at the moment, but about to get *too* hot. If it's down to 22C or whatever next weekend that'll be fine... as long as it's dry! We should probably start thinking of a backup plan though, just in case...

There are a number of tube track closures planned for engineering works over the summer. It looks like it's the turn of the Hammersmith & City, Circle and Metropolitan lines next weekend. Regent's Park station is unaffected as it's on the Bakerloo line but anyone planning on coming to Great Portland Street, or Baker Street via the H&C/Circle/Met may have to change their route.

* I'll post an update on this next week when I get the latest email from TfL. *
