I'm aiming for fashionably late. Not through choice, but I know that no matter what time I leave I'll probably be later than I plan anyway. These things have a way of happening.

Mind you, I've probably got one of the least taxing journeys. Fall onto train at Orpington, fall into a train-rockingly induced trance until train hits the buffers at Charing X, stumble down to the Bakerloo line, try to remember to disembark at Regent's street... then finally a casual saunter to the park.

Naturally, this seemingly dreamy journey will be spoilt by train delays and sweaty tube passengers... and I'll turn up dishevelled and with bits of Scotch Egg stuck to my elbows.

Pretty similar to mine. Tonbridge to Charing Cross, straight to Regents Park on the Bakerloo. I should be coming up at least for a little bit. I have a couple of other things I have to do in London aswell so. :)

Wow, that takes me back. I used to live on Knoll Rise, in one of the newish houses next to the Doctor's. Every Saturday night I'd be running to Charing Cross to catch the 1am Orpington train so I didn't end up falling asleep on the night bus and ending up in the middle of Bromley :)

I hope they've cleaned up the trains a bit since then. Connex South Eastern's were revolting, covered in graffiti and really stinky.

Is there going to be an award for the "Furthest Travelled" ???? ..... Man, I am achingly close to attendance, with a 95% possibility of making an appearance .... oh the agony of uncertainty. I need 2 things to fall into place then it's a goodun.

What are those 2 things?

1. That we change the venue?
2. That we change the date?

:D

Well let us know if you *can* make it... the more, the merrier, as they say :)

Thing 1. Other person has control over that, and they are not back until Friday evening.:(
Thing 2. Return transport: public transport round my neck of the woods hasn't won many awards for community integration.

... of course changing venue and date would make it a teensie bit easier for me;)

So it's probably just me who's majorly inconvenienced by the closures then? grrr.

OK not really 'majorly'; I just thought I'd add some drama cos it's Monday morning and I'm bored ****less...
Nope, me too....I'd be coming into Kings Cross.

It's just a 10-15 min walk from Kings Cross up to the park...

However, this is just a shameless reminder that the picnic is definitely on (after a wobbly moment on my behalf) for Saturday and that I'm immensely looking forward to meeting everyone who comes along on the day.

At this point the weather is looking good, shopping lists are being drawn up, plans being made.

Bring. It. On. :D

Another possible attendee in me... its my first weekend off this month, and my last until the start of August. Reason? Too many damn people getting married. Selfish b*stards!:D ;)

As a result, sitting off in H Park sound like a cracking idea!

Ah. that could have been a wee bit embarassing! I'll make sure to have printed off on of BV's lovely invites. I'll blame the fact that I did the Bupa capital 10k at Hyde Park recently and the trauma is still firmly embedded!

Did I mention I'd done the Bupa capital 10k? No? Well I did. Me. Want to see my medal? :D ;)

(I might mention this once or twice on Saturday!)
