Brilliant! They probably just sit back in their chairs and laugh at us too (as the hit counter skyrockets).![]()
So yes there will be new core 2 MB, will they matter? not really. It seems that people are just wanting 64 bit so they can run leopard. no point in buying a machine that will not be running new software at full strength.
btw i'm REALLY hoping they release a silver/aluminum macbook. that would be the sweetest
If u look at the buyer's guide, it says the MacBook hasn't been updated in 173 days i beleive,,that's crazy,,i'm guessing it'll be out next tuesday, if not the tuesday after that the latest,,
I'm interested to see what apple does with regards to the RAM support as well. I'm disappointed just a bit that the macbook pro can hold 2x2GB sticks and only accept 3GB out of it, but thats a great deal more memory than the previous model. hopefully the new macbooks see a jump in that department as well. as it is though, the macbook is a fantastic machine, even moreso to me than the pro because i can swap the HDD with practically no disassembly. it would be a pleasant suprise to see a new and improved integrated graphics chipset..but its not likely, and indeed unnecessary. macbooks arent gaming machines anyway.
I just got word C2D macbooks are coming out tomorrow. have all checkbooks and credit cards handy!![]()

I'd like that too, though I would be happy with a C2D blackbook
Here's a thought - just in time for the holidays, Apple makes the premium for Black MacBooks justifiable by adding Core 2 Duo processors, and other assorted options. Ad campaign uses a Black Beauty theme - MacBooks in Black become the hot item, and Zune is forgotten.
White MacBooks update early next year, along with MacMini Core 2 Duo - 64bit from Stem to Stern, Steve glowing about Intel and 64bit - with 10.4.9 released and 10.5 coming out just in time to force early adopters of 64bit to pay the tax.
Ba da boom.![]()
You must be someone who's looking to buy a Black Macbook then. It's not going to happen. When they update the Macbook, they will do all variations at once.
