Hi

Can the expert trackers confirm ths. I think it's on flight 2997 going to Louisville. From what I was able to find there was a UPS flight 2997 that left Alaska at 1:12 AM which would coincide with my last scan at 12:58 AM so I think it's on its way to Louisville. Can an Expert tracker confirm this. This flight is supposed to land in Louisville at 10:28 AM

Time Machine?

Did this happen to anyone else?

Mine also left at 12:58AM.

Yup. And if your phone is going to the West Coast, it'll probably take UPS 918 back near delivery time.

I have to say, my phone appears to be getting hosed in the "interesting travel" department--my spare lightning cable, by contrast, has been from China to Hong Kong to Taiwan and now Japan. I kinda feel like it should come in a little old-timey suitcase with the stickers from all over the world on it.

It just put the Louisville scan below it because it crossed enough time zones that it landed before it departed. Mine was on the same flight. It just kills me to know that my phone is 1 hour away from me, yet I have to wait until friday to get it.

You appear to be trying to contradict me, but then you're not actually saying anything that does.

World Ease (and probably FedEx has a similar product, but outside the US you don't deal with FedEx as much so I don't know about it) is supposed to prevent that problem. But mistakes are made and every now and then someone's new toy will slip through the cracks and have to wait a little.

Almost everyone's shipment is subject to customs. The only exceptions that I know of are diplomatic missions and the local government.

What exactly are you trying to say ?

I concur. That's what I found searching for flights. (It's the only UPS flight that left and it happens to be going to Louisville.)
Mine is on the same flight. I'm in NJ.

Mine only says preparing to ship on the apple store online, but still says delivery at 9/21. Should I worry?

Yep, it looks like we are all making the trip to Louisville on Flight 2997. Being in Cali I was kind of hoping to stay on flight 59 to Ontario but I guess an overnight trip from Louisville on Thursday will have to do.:D

----------

let me know. hopefully my phone is on that plane.

Looks like they switched planes and we are all going to Louisville on Flight 2997 getting to Louisville at 10:28am Local Time.

Mine says:

Anchorage, AK, United States 09/18/2012 12:58 A.M. Departure Scan

What flight is that??

By looking at the departure schedules for that airport the only UPS is UPS2997, there was a FEDEX going to Memphis that left at 2:45am, To bad Louisville is only a lil over an hour from me.

move over. ;)

what happens next? all by truck?
Could be, but these are Express packages, so they may be flying them on smaller jets out of Louisville to different hubs on the east and west coast. If the delivery locations are within 2-300 miles, they probably will just freight them.

If you guys have this attachment below, I'm guess that they just forgot to scan for departure at Anchorage, and that 12:58 AM departure scan was actually the packages leaving LOUISVILLE?

Anyone else have this same thing going on? Seems weird that my package left Anchorage and arrived in Louisville at 12:07AM and then departed Anchorage AGAIN at 12:58AM...

Maybe im getting two phones :) lol

Yep, I even posted a whole thread about it, heh.

It may have left...

Mine never said departing Alaska so I didn't check to see if I could stalk it (I was being amused by the being able to see the flight's status during flight). Next thing I know it says it arrived in Kentucky (and if you look at the history it didn't get a departure scan from Alaska).

Mine says departed Alaska at 12:58am

Mine does too.

I'm still a bit surprised Apple hasn't sent out shipping notification and the items are already in the States. I know there has to be a lot of notices to send out, but considering where we are with technology that isn't a great reason/excuse for waiting.

The charge has already hit my card, which usually means it has shipped. Most aren't as tech savvy as the people are here and have no clue their device shipped and is in the US yet the status still says "preparing for shipment" and their card has been charged.
