From alaska they go to louisville (im on the east coast)

my phone hasn't left though, didn't get a departure scan

I live about 20 miles north of the ups world port in Louisville, KY and on busy nights planes fly over my house about every 90 seconds. Tonight is definitely the busiest it has been since Christmas. Lots of planes full of iPhones!

I just dont understand why it will take till friday for us to get ours phones. Most of the stuff I order from amazon go thru Louisville then Jacksonville and lastly miami. Seems just odd that its going to take 3 days to get to from louisville to Miami but only took 2 days to get from china to KY.

Anyone know when the next one from alaska to kentucky is? none are showing up on flight tracking website

Because Apple has set that day as the delivery date.

Tomorrow, we missed the boat for today. World Port gets all of it's flights in between 11pm and 4am at the latest. They sort them all and then are in the air again before 5am-6am.

Mine didn't get a departure scan from Alaska but is sitting in KY now. I'm in AZ FYI.

It may have left...

Mine never said departing Alaska so I didn't check to see if I could stalk it (I was being amused by the being able to see the flight's status during flight). Next thing I know it says it arrived in Kentucky (and if you look at the history it didn't get a departure scan from Alaska).

If you read my post it talks about an entire pallet (not per product) I have no idea why you would believe a company the size of Apple would do that.

Apple is who told me about a paperwork mistake, on their part. Apples very honest and provides excellent communications.

Apple products being shipped from China are sent via FedEx International or UPS World Ease. Apple would never put all their eggs in one basket. Both meet Apples very specific & strict policies. Both are also subject to Customs, over which Apple has no control.

You appear to be trying to contradict me, but then you're not actually saying anything that does.

World Ease (and probably FedEx has a similar product, but outside the US you don't deal with FedEx as much so I don't know about it) is supposed to prevent that problem. But mistakes are made and every now and then someone's new toy will slip through the cracks and have to wait a little.

Almost everyone's shipment is subject to customs. The only exceptions that I know of are diplomatic missions and the local government.

Hi
I just checked ups and mine departed Alaska at 12:58am

Mine went from hong kong to Alaska was on that flight 59.

Anyone have an idea where it's going???

It won't take that long. But since Apple must treat everything as an "event", they sent an artificial launch day for maximum media attention. Unfortunately, the poor UPS and FedEx workers have to pay the price of having to deliver millions of extra packages than normal on a single day.
