I know but you'd think they'd maybe try help or something - not asking for much really :/

People make up crazy stories to get their way.

You may have a legitimate reason for a swap but 95% of people don't.

I completely understand why Apple would stick to their terms.

Ok thanks, yeah Im aware people do this sorta stuff for attention :/ just wanted to bring up an issue :/

----------

Yah I know its my fault, just thought the company would help - just like those who got sick from parallax etc etc

ok, I will play, what exactly are these disabilities?

:apple:

forget it, just let this thread die out - doesn't matter but if someone else was having problems id try help them if you think I'm a liar don't post but why would I lie and make a big deal about this?

Your OP wasn't asking for help...it was complaining about Apple customer service.

What help could have been offered to rectify your situation?

At best, the responses might have been of the "Gee, what a rotten deal" type...sympathy, not help.

Some people post untrue posts out of a desire for attention. Making a big deal out of a customer service problem, and then turning it into an "I'm-sick-and-going-to-end-up-in- the-hospital-because-I-could-fall-down-and-bump-my-head" thread strains credulity and certainly creates the impression that the thread was posted merely for attention.

I know, but I'm being honest :/

I know it sounds silly but I've already collapsed a few times and its easy to bang head when you have a fall/fit.

Just would have been nice if people didn't call me a liar :/ If I wanted attention I would have spammed the forums or came up with a far more exciting problem than this....

I agree title was made to grab attention as I wanted people to be aware of this and maybe it may help them if thy have same problem or something but the rest of post wasn't :/

Did you talk to Apple on the phone? If so, you might want to try an Apple store as well. It would help your case if you have a doctor's note explaining the situation. You can also try emailing customer relations at Apple as well.

Hi nah none near me sadly, but managed to get through to an advisor and they said if I can supply doctors note they will pass on to engineers (not sure what they can do?) and if they approve they can do swap, so hopefully they can help...

Again, I know i had 14 days but it didn't affect me at the time bad enough, its go ten worse over time and yes I know it sounds so silly cause if you don't experience it you have no real understanding and trolls these days do kinda ruin it for legit problems

I still call bs, I think you are just upset you bought a white phone and don't like it, now you want a black one.

No, not true, I love the back of the white and HATE the back of black, but the black doesn't hurt my eyes or cause me problems, yet the white does...

I know it sounds dumb and probably is to you but its very upsetting having to deal with this when I'm experience such discomfort.

I do understand what you mean and yes it does sound like that but it really isn't, as I said I can't stand the back of the black :/

Also the white looks amazing with ios7 :/

OP, here is my suggestion. Call apple corporate, the office of the ceo and be ready to support your situation with a doctors note. See what they can do you for you.

Will try it thanks, again I know it sounds silly and like I want a free swap but i wouldn't go through all this hassle if I was lying :/

Its just weird they can't do a simple colour swap when they've down in past for nano when I had same problem (very first model) and other companies offer exchange if there are problems, I'm probably just being a tad ignorant or naive and not understanding the system?

Guess it could be like old problem where people damaged phones with water damage to get free swap?

Well ill leave this thread now but thanks for suggestions - I just wanted to make people aware of the issue that if you were in same boat or unlucky like me that they refuse to help even if it was my fault not to notice the issue at first in first couple weeks, but it does happen and there are some legit people out there lol

Id just hate to know if someone was going through what I am was getting no help at all or being refused any real guidance from the companies

sorry for causing a fuss and stuff :/ thanks again

All companies have their customer policies. Buying an expensive item, should make sure one is aware of return policies.

I wasn't even aware of the 14 days return to be honest and the staff in store never mentioned it lol, it was just pay and hand over phone lol, would have been nice if they had to go per it, even if it is boring lol but then again guess that could be seen as my fault for not reading it?

I have OCD since the age of 10 and I'm on meds as well. If you don't want a case, what about slick wraps? Just a sticker you put on front and back of any color... Black or what ever. Doesn't change the feel if the phone.

Yah I just get upset when they peel and start to collect hair/dirt - If I can find one that holds up well i'd try it, I know with some screen shields they have life warranty/replacement, what about other companies that do what you suggested?

I have always had black iPhone, but recently got a white and it is affecting my disabilities causing me sickness, headaches and dizziness.

I have spoken to Three and Apple but both have refused to simply exchange white for black.

I am shocked that both companies refuse to acknowledge this issue and seem to put money above their customers health.

I was not aware of the issue un till after the 14 day swap period, so basically it is my fault.

Apple has only said I should stop using phone, yet I need it daily for my disabilities.

Thanks Apple and Three!
Either don't use it or buy another and sell the one you have. It is not apple's fault. And also....correlation does not imply causation

----------

I can't due to my disability, I need it naked phone, i can't have anything on it or I feel sick, due to OCD and I don't want to risk my warranty by replacing screen/back myself.

Its a simple request, exchange model for black, yet they seem to not be able?

I know it seems silly, but if I collapse and bang head and do end up in hospital, it won't look good on either companies, especially as I have tried to seek help.

Sorry but give me a break. Put a case on it, get it professionally painted, layer it in electrical tape.

How does your condition require a naked iPhone? I think you our pulling our collective leg

I have diagnoses thanks and very offended to be called a liar, I have support at uni, doctors letters and gone through a lot of crap cause of them so please don't be so rude.

If you have a diagnosise then I didn't mean to offend. Living with someone who is autistic I couldn't imagine it taking that long to notice a problem.

You get a lot of people claiming OCD or other conditions without an actual diagnosise or even a comprehension of what the condition actually is.

If you have a serious issue that is affecting you, then get a dr's note and speak to Apple.

Good luck with the phone swap.

I know its partially my fault and stuff but as a long term customer and stuff, id thought maybe as a goodwill gesture or help, it doesn't seem like a huge request just swapping out the - and fact their device is causing a problem you;d think maybe they'd try keep customer happy by trying to offer exchange?

Ill look at selling on Ebay if i can't get a decent wrap on phone, just extra hassle - am debating to buy parts and replace the white myself but would mess up warranty....

Had some good suggestions so will try those though, just got worked up and stressed so codlin think clearly lol

::Whoops!::
You already stated above (twice) you were aware of the 14 day return period, and you stated reasons why you didn't return within those 14 days... now you state you were unaware. . .

Either way, I'd be willing to swap with you.
PM me.

So you've had the same issue before with the nano and they swapped it out. Did you think something would change since then? Here's an idea, go buy an iPhone 5C in RED! Come back next week and give us an update.

That was like 8 years ago and had generally forgotten - and noo wouldn't buy 5C lol too much colour haha

What do you guys think? Should I make this my new avatar? You know, it would kind of be like garlic to vampires and ward off trolls.
