SiliconAddict said:Freaking e-books is what is missing. I’m still pissed to hell and gone that Apple still hasn’t steamrolled this lucrative, virtually untouched market. Apple makes the hardware and PeanutPress/EReader makes the books that are also sold through iTunes. Not only is it a low bandwidth medium it’s also a foregone conclusion that e-books will take off. Sony just this last week introduced their e-reader. The specs look great. The use of e-ink is OMG cool with the battery life that is virtually months. But the reader itself is fugly with too many buttons, and too “busy. Apple could drop an unmitigated BOMB onto the literature world. Imagine a store as complete as iTMS with books at 4.99 a pop. And anyone who says that e-books suck please do me a favor and actually try one before you crap on the idea. I read e-books on my 4” VGA Pocket PC and it’s a fantastic experience. The only complaint is battery life and size both of which are taken care of with e-ink. Again it pains me to see this market go untouched by Apple. Literature has been the hallmark of civilization since pretty much since cave men drew on their walls. How this could not be counted as a major part of the digital hub I can’t remotely imagine.

I feel a "I need my password for Mac rumors so I can log on on my laptop which I rarely use at school tomorrow." coming on.BlueRevolution said:to be honest, not even a keynote could get me up early tomorrow. I'll just read about it all from Apple after the fact. and drool. and then realize that there was more stuff released than Apple could fit on their 5-pane front page, so I'll go drool some more.
in fact, I think I feel a photoshop coming on...
Yep. Pretty much. Love the icon/avatar. Awesome.agreenster said:I'm so stoked to go! This is my first MacWorld. My coworker's girlfriend is a graphic designer at Apple and got us free passes. I'm going to take an extended lunch right after the keynote. Lucky for me, its only a 5 block walk!
You all be jealous.![]()

Oh and for Windowuser - Windows is good for games and nothing more.
Enjoy the constant anti-virus updates, spyware, adware, and popup problems!
Shhh. Don't give them ideas.xsnightclub said:Think of how much money Apple could make if they made the keynote streamed live through the iTMS.

MacViolinist said:I don't really care what comes out tomorrow. My dearly beloved iBook died today in the middle of my first class of the semester, so something is getting bought tomorrow. I just hope the shipping times are not terribly delayed.
What's the over/under on availability? Would it be better to treck up to a store this weekend?
windowuser82 said:My point is that's REALLLY odd. Just speaks of the "Mac Madness" some Apple users have. I mean, guys aren't staked out of whatever center Bill Gates is speaking.. The pic of him still in his car, then getting out. Just seems really nuts.
