22 days and Apple still hasn't figuered out that the problem is not that you lose bars but that you drop calls and that the data connection stops when you touch it? Is that a joke? Sigh.

He's just making it look like it's not an iphone issue (it's an every phone issue), so that when he offers a solution, Apple looks like they are going above and beyond... LAME!

This press conference reminds me of the words of the great former president George Bush.

If it feels good do it, if you've got a problem blame somebody else.

'Other phones work as s**t as ours do'

Showing a small selection of other phones with the issue doesn't excuse them. My old phone didn't have this issue and neither did the previous iPhone models. And I'm sure the next iPhone wont have the issue either.

10:18AM "We knew that you could see bars drop on the phone when you hold it in a certain way, it's a fact, phones aren't perfect. But people are reporting better reception with this antenna than they've ever seen before."

Apple PR = brilliant IMO. They are admitting defeat yet bringing a realistic perspective to the issue. They are saying, what I predicted, that they know the update from yesterday doesn't fix the problem and they are trying to beat the laws of physics. Interesting.

Summary:

You're all delusional. We spent lots of money so we're right. Now go buy more please.

What did you all honestly expect?
Anything except the "other phones do it too" defense speech. That's the absolute worst thing they can do. Honestly. Having Jony Ive come out and say "it's cos lions ate my bum" would be better than this gradeschooler excuse.

Apple is revealing more of their inner workings than ever, from what I can recall. Even if it is a bit of a dog-and-pony show.

If they're showing other phones from other manufacturers on other networks exhibiting the same behaviour as the iPhone 4, then what's so hard to believe?

Oh yeah, they probably made it up. It's all fake. Right?

Ok. Those testing chambers are FREAKY AS HELL. That's, more or less, what I envision Lady GaGa's bedroom to look like.

...or Tom Cruise's place of worship.

My prediction, it is a karma virus infecting iPhones that accept calls from evil phones that run Flash. The cure will involve a priest and holy water as well as an app that detects non iPhones and disconnects before the infection can spread.

What did you all honestly expect?

Oh wait, you WANTED this to happen, cause then it gives you an excuse to bitch for another two weeks.

All phones do this is held covering the antenna, we knew this before Apple said so right now.

Jesus H Christ, some people actually LOVE to moan.

Holding my Nokia E72(in my hands) in all matter of awkward positions. No bar drop at all. T-Mobile.

Not "all phones do this", only the crappy ones.
