Yeah I get the same, but the UK page is normal, with the Get a Mac videos playing.

Rich.

apple.com = empty
apple.ca = empty (given that it's a redirection to apple.com/ca/ I guess)
apple.fr = MacBook Pro

Oups, while typing this I refreshed apple.com, it's back to the MacBook Pro.

"Somebody's gonna get a hurt real bad" ;-)
(quote from Russell Peters)

Yep, back again for me too.

Hahahha. For the same reason the other guy up their said that MacRumors should get recognition for breaking the story.

heh... appreciate the support guys... but i do think this story may only be of interest to the hard core of us... :) but do as you please.

Hmmm....why not?? It helps out the site and helps MacRumors get credit for breaking the story instead some other site taking the credit for it.

While it's page 2 news, Digg has enough Apple and iPhone articles going on right now...a black banner? Seriously, it happens at every event, is common knowledge, and is not worth everyone's trouble.

Credit wouldn't be a problem; all of the mac rumors from this site get submitted and make front page anyway.

Thanks, arn!

It's so obvious (hopefully...)

iPhone runs OS X.
Multitouch runs on top of OS X for the iPhone.
So Multitouch will run on a Desktop OS X for sure.
Which cries after y new device.
And that could be the reason why so many developers at apple where brought over to the new project which was - fore us ordinary people - called the iPhone-project but was/is for sure a completely fresh new user interface for a new device...

As for tomorrow.. I don't see a new 'iPod' other than talking about the iPhone. This is a developers conference and not a consumers conference. Guys.. This isn't aimed at 'you' this is aimed at the people that develop stuff for Macs.. Now.. If you are a Mac developer then this is for you and I apologize, but for the most part most of us on here are just consumers.

What I do see as a possibility.. a "professional iMac". I think that is a definite possibility. The Mac Pro came out at this conference last year and I could definitely see a iMac Pro even though it is rarely hinted at. I don't know about an 'ultraportable'. I mean... they have already had that in a 12in Powerbook. I don't think that there are that many 'developers' that really want an ultraportable 'macbook', maybe a macbook pro ultraportable, but then again it wouldn't be that much different from the 12in powerbook.

There could be new displays.. I think the 23in may be history in favor of the 24in that is already in the iMac. I think that would be an 'also ran' and maybe not even talked about in the keynote, but just an addition that we all find when looking through the Apple Store after the address is over.

Sorry guys, but there won't be much 'new stuff' to buy tomorrow... Steve is going to spend the majority of his 1 1/2 hours on Leopard. What that bad boy will do and what those ultra-secret things are. He will probably talk about iChat Theatre, and of course hit on the iPhone since that is their biggest launch since Mac OSX. He won't spend more than 10-15 minutes on it though as he has bigger fish to fry with Leopard which is why 85% of the attendees at this thing are worried about.

Anyway it goes it will be a blast.. I just wouldn't be getting my credit card ready for much tomorrow as the main focus will not be on consumer stuff.

If there is.. I will apologize, but I doubt I am that wrong!

:)

Michael

I know a lot of people will post stuff about how they heard a rumour from their cousins friend or something and everyone is like "yeah right"... but I have it on real good authority from a friend of mine that wouldn't lie, that he heard those banners show a Powerbook G5.

Everbody, please don't digg this article...

I'm begging all of you.

Does this have something to do with the fact that even Digg complains about the -=| thing? ;)
What's wrong with bringing more traffic to the site?

I totally agree, but deep down inside I really wand some new displays, and this is a perfect time to announce them IMO.

haha, it seems as if all of Digg complains about it, and only a few here. :D

It started from forum posting in several years ago.

The WWDC is more aimed at "us" (the total Mac addicts) than the MacWorlds of the past.
Yeah, it is by name a WWDC.
Therefore less interest in iPods and iPhones than Mac OS X.

Trust me, most of us over here @ MacRumors are far, far more interested in the development of Mac OS X, and which über powerfull Mac wil be released than getting an iLife session and getting overloaded with iPod sales figures.

So, if Apple only aims a WWDC at developers, we are surely very, very, very (and that is putting it mildly) interested in what Steve has to show us.

Please tell me you didn't go there!

;)

My bet is on Leopard (beta, or new secret features, something like that) - why would they get a bunch of software developers together then hang posters of new iMacs or something like that...also iLife maybe? hmm?

You're all wrong!

I just used the infrared plugin in Aperture and even though it was barely legible, it said that Leopard available now. So that's it. No waiting till October.

i will finally get the g5 powerbook i have been waiting for since 2003, if only i hadn't ordered this damn sr mbp and listened to theses rumors.

Woohoo... less than 24hrs to go. As a developer I am pretty excited to see the feature complete Leopard.

The OS not only manages running apps, and provides some basic ones such as finder, email and web, and not only provides programmer frameworks. On another level it sets the "tone" for apps. It leads by example. OS X sets a high standard for developers, which is why I think the Mac as a whole is a more enjoyable platform.

I am also hoping for:
- New monitors
- iLife announcement
- updated iMac
- Office universal binary announcement from new head of Microsoft Mac division

Go the :apple: !

The covered banner probably says..

'One More Thing'

"Yes, the iPhone supports MMS and iChat messaging!"

i'm predicting it's this that they're hiding behind the curtains on that big banner

ahaha, really though, imagine walking out of the hall after the keynote and seeing that staring you in the face

I'm in San Francisco now. I went to check-in today and get my free goodies. I was trying to take a picture when I had about 3 security guards get onto me. Security seems tight. Should be an interesting day tomorrow.
