CPW - now preordering for delivery on the 11th online...

I tried with o2 Mon, I tried with CPW Mon. I tried at 11 this morning wih CPW. No movement all day. Just had email saying processed. Just gone online to track order status and have a tracking number. To be honest I resigned myself to not getting one. I am so gobsmacked !!! and happy🙂
 
Had the same trouble as everyone else on Monday but ordered off CPW today at 12:10pm. Only received one email but I've just checked city link and my item is on it's way!
 
Good news! (For me!)

The Citylink tracker has just updated and is now showing Scanned at Collection Branch. En route to delivery branch!
 
So has anyone else been promised that they'll be getting their iPhone tomorrow, but are still at Stage 2 with no Citylink tracking number?

Please tell me I'm not alone!
 
Stuck an order in at 2pm today on the strength of CPW's touted next-day delivery, even though I should know better. However... I just checked there - it's went to stage 2, and saying that "your order should arrive on Fri, 11 Jul 2008". I await with baited breath...

I don't want to be the bringer of bad news, bit with all CPW online orders (not just iPhones), when they move to Stage 2 they always say "your order will arrive on (next day)". I ordered mine on Monday 7th, and it still says that it will be delivered on Tuesday 8th.

Fingers crossed for you anyway though!
 
Don't worry,

Mine has been saying delivery on the 8th since monday, the tracking number for the courier only starting working a little while ago.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

Well I don't know whats going on with CPW.

Just received another email with a different order number and a different tracking number.

It would appear I have two Iphones coming tomorow.

Hmmm... methinks I shall be calling them first thing tomorrow. 😕
 
Things are definitely looking up - in the last 20 minutes I've moved from stage 2, to stage 3 with an unrecognised tracking number, to now having a tracking number with the status "These goods have been scanned at the collection branch and are now on route to the delivery branch".

Should be "... en route ...", but if I get to bond (...) with my iPhone tomorrow, I'll give CPW the benefit of the doubt 🙂
 
I really want a white iPhone!

I've already got an iPhone (presumably black) being delivered today - so would it be possible to take the delivered unit to a CPW store this morning and change it???

Or should I wait until the stores are stocked a bit more, return the iPhone within the 14day period and then visit a store to re-purchase.... 😕

From what I've gathered from all the other threads, 02 and CPW don't have any white ones. Rumor is that the Apple stores will though.
 
No Order number no Text

Hi

I ordered a 16GB Black from CPW yesterday, thought what the hell at 14:55, order completed about 15:15 but that was faffing around with all the insurance stuff.

The lady did not give me an order number but said I had been allocated one. I phoned back at 1600 and the guy said they cannot check iPhone orders presuming that I ordered it on the web, he was able to do so though because I did it by phone.

At 19:30 I phoned again worried about these reports they were cancelling the orders. Get through at 19:45, as soon as I said iPhone he said he would transfer me (this was the orders dept which I only wanted confirmation and was the same dept that checked it earlier), yet the dept he put me through couldn't access iPhone orders on the system!! this was now 19:55 so I couldn't be transferred back!

I have checked my mobile this morning (as I gave that number to them) but I don't have any texts. The didn't ask for my email either. I requested it be delivered to branch for collection as out all day, but they told me it wouldn't be there by store opening hours, yes others have been told it would!

I hope it still arrives today, will be severely disappointed if not as all the checking said they would and I had secured one.

I wish I had my order number!!! grrr
 
I'm with CPW hoping for delivery today but, according to the tracking website, am still at stage 2. Customer services told me yesterday that it should be delivered today and I got the email telling me I'd be one of the first to own the iPhone on Friday 11 July. Anyone else in the same situation?

You couldn't make this up: a City Link van has just passed my door and not stopped. This could be a frustrating day.

If you're still on stage 2 I doubt you will get anything today 🙁.

Hey if you think its a frustrating day imagine being the Citylink drivers.

All these Apple addicts standing, salivating at their windows only to spy the citylink man/woman and launch themselves at them begging for the shiney new Iphone they ordered !!

Or being a driver delivering in the same street as someone waiting for one, and being harrassed to 'Can you just check your list please. I know it is there. You MUST have it. CPW promised me...."
 
I just finally got through to o2 about my order. I asked is it likely to be days, weeks or months before I got it. He said it was only the stores that are currently short on stock, online orders will be fine.

That's a joke, if only the stores have low stock why are they not selling them online 😕

I'm utterly ****ed off with CPW. Got one of the first 16GB orders in at 11:53 on Monday, been phoning them everyday and have been assured I'd DEFINITELY be getting it today. Even got my "on its way" email last night.

Rang them 8:00 this morning as it's still at Stage 2, and I'm told they're not sure where it is but I won't be getting it today. They've got a team looking into it who'll email me back 'later today', but they've already got 'about 100' other orders to investigate first.

So I've just driven 25 miles to my nearest CPW on the off-chance that they'd have a 16GB (why can't they publish store phone numbers like O2 do?), but they've only got 8GB and they've had to withdraw those all from sale because their activation system has gone down!

Right now there aren't words strong enough to express my disappointment and anger with CPW. First come, first served my a**e
 
Just got off the phone after an hour on hold to CPW. Ordered yesterday morning, and still at Stage 1. Supposedly, a "systems failure" has prevented orders going out. Looks like Monday at the earliest. 😡

If it helps, I called 0800 049 1008 first, and got transferred about a bit. I was told the direct number is 0808 100 9250 for internet sales support.
 
My tracking status has changed to:

Tracking History
18:51 Thursday, July 10, 2008 On route to delivery branch
05:06 Friday, July 11, 2008 Arrived at Delivery Branch
07:06 Friday, July 11, 2008 Goods loaded onto a van
