One. it's about halfway between the wifi icon and the lock symbol at the top. It's in a good location so I'm not bothered by it in the least.
I wonder how many people would complain or even realize anything was wrong without threads like this. The yellow screen is a case in point. Now whilst some of these observations are no doubt genuine or warranted I can't help thinkiing some people are never satisfied!
I decided to take mine in today to see if I could get it swapped out. They let me straight into the store (no line for me AT ALL) and once they confirmed that I had a stuck pixel, they swapped my phone out for a new one which appears not to have any bad pixels. For those thinking of getting their iPhones replaced, do you not think it would be a good idea to wait until demand has quietened down a touch?
/no dead pixels on my 1st Gen iPhone
//the sleep/wake button is getting unresponsive, though

I don't know if this is just good customer service, or if they were afraid that I'd end up talking to people in line about why I was there. They did tell me I was their first return/exchange of one of the new phones. (I was also the first person in that store to run into the IRU/FAN discount issue. Life is strange out here on the bleeding edge.)
Not true.and cos of you, one of those poor bastards in the queue left without an iPhone![]()
I can see two stuck sub-pixels (green), but both are in good spots (toward the edge) and barely noticeable.
My first gen was perfect, not a single one that I could see. But after I had it swapped out for a refurb at the apple store, the replacement had many (6 or so).
Curious, since the LCD supplier apparently changed, if the new panels are any better or worse on average.
My iphone white 16GB has a white dot in the middle top of the screen, it approx 2cm in diameter, pretty anoying, it is most visible with full brightness, but it is visible with the brightness to min. It looks like a fingerprint below the glass screen. I/m hoping to get the phone replaced with another one since this is a very big defect.
Has anybody seen something similar?.
Appreciate any feedback
I have a spec of what looks like dust at the very edge of the screen up by the volume buttons. Also, in that same area, you can see light coming through between the chrome and the glass, which makes me worry more 'stuff' will get in there.
White iPhone
Two annoyingly bright ones (one almost in the center and one 1" above), and a very dim one that I don't mind.
