Current MacBook Pro Models Deleted From Best Buy's Inventory System? Updates Imminent?

I am ready to pull the trigger. I have been using a Hackbook for long enough. I still might keep my hackbook mini. But my Dell 1525 is getting Windows and going to my sister.

I was going to get a refurb 13" MacBook Pro last week but decieded to wait. Glad I did.

If I remember correctly, this could range anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple hours. Damnit, and I was just about to go to bed too.
 
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS APPLE!! I JUST BOUGHT MY MBP 2 DAYS AGO AND NOW YOU TELL ME THERES A NEW ONE???!?!?! I'm returning this if it comes out within a few days.

Well you should've been aware that the lifecycle is approaching the end, according to the buyer's guide. Either way no sweat, they'll certainly swap a new one for you.

Next time Apple will tell you that you're buying an outdated laptop, and that they prefer to lose two days of sales rather than having you belonging to the limited amount of people that will simply return their new laptop.
 
Store down in France too, but...

Isn't it like 4AM in Cupertino? Are we sure it's not just maintenance? :p

EDIT: also, if there are new macs avaiable on the online store, when will they be available in the official european Apple shops?

Or they are adding all the new Macbook Pros and scraping the iPad idea all together and removing all references to it. Steve will then pretend it never existed.

Dang it, why didn't I get the illuminated keyboard in 2008, that's my only reason for wanting to upgrade. :mad:

You have 14 days to return it for a 10% restocking fee. The refresh rumor has been around since late december. If you read this site, you should've already been aware of it. Just make sure to weight the 10% restock fee vs the specs you are losing (which might not be much) and decide if you want the new one instead.

Heh, it's 4:50 am here in California. I just remember when I waited for an update like this one before buying my MacBook Pro (early '08). The store went down around 4:30 am and didn't come back up till about 6:30 am or so. Hopefully that won't be the case here.

I did the same thing in June last year... held out for an update everyone insisted wasn't coming ("no way in hell they're introducing new Macs at a developer's conference!"), but it was (the dualcore 2.8/3.06 MBP's). I've had my 6 months of owning the latest MBP now, so I had a hunch that a refresh was imminent. Ahh, poor MBP... you grew old so fast. ;)
 
Canada store is still down as of 6am MST. Here's hoping it's the updates.. however unlikely. Prepared for disappointment.
 
Problem is I didn't buy it from the Apple store. I bought it in Taiwan at some Data Express store. It's an authorized Apple store though. Does everything still apply? I believe he told me 7 days.
 
If :apple: is smart... they will upload the iPad pre-order and upload the new Macbook Pro update to maximise sales... Someone who is spending a lot of $$ on a Macbook Pro might as well pre-order the iPad. :rolleyes:
