There are many people who don't like Apple products. A strong MBP would be a good answer for them

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS APPLE!! I JUST BOUGHT MY MBP 2 DAYS AGO AND NOW YOU TELL ME THERES A NEW ONE???!?!?! I'm returning this if it comes out within a few days.

you paid all that money for a core 2 duo CPU in 2010? dude, you got ripped off

I have no need for a MBP. My current MBP is less than 6 months old. Perfectly servicable. Runs fine. So I do not need a new MBP.
I DO NOT NEED A NEW MBP! Tempt me not!

Ok, I'm good. It's cool. I'll just wait till the Store comes back up, and just take a peek. Just a look. A glance. Maybe a quick spec comparison. No harm in that.

Temptation, thy name is Mac.

what? whatever update happens today, its not going to push haters onto Apple. the design wont change by much, if at all. the unibody is too good for them right now. and the general public wont care that they bumped the processor to an i3 or i5.

gilkisson: sell ur MBP and pay a little bit extra for the new one. its so worth it =P

What will be inevitable and funny will be the bitter rants that all these excited people will deliver when their favoured feature doesn't appear on the update, or on their preferred machine.

My prediction: just new processors, maybe IPS screens.

I'm so pissed off... I'll figure a way to buy the new one if it comes out within like 5 days considering that's about my return time.

Once the store updates if there's new ones just returns yours straight away then buy a new one ?

the 9400m will be updated as well with the processors imo. its not just a speed bump processor upgrade. if they go to the i family, which they absolutely will, the graphics will go up as well.3

if its not updated today it will be in a few months or so. i would return it no matter what as soon as possible unless you really need it. a processor bump to the i3/i5 will be magical.

I hope there is a graphics update. It's very average card for the price atm.

it's not that easy. I bought it from an "apple authorized dealer" not an apple store, and it came in a "deal" package. So it was the 13inc 2.53ghz mbp with 500gb add on and a bunch of other things thrown in. It cost me like 2 grand in total.

Meh. Hold on to the old one for a while. You don't want the first generation of a quad MBP. Let the early adopters deal with the glitches, the heat problems, the cracks or whatever the problems are going to be... then grab one when the next refresh comes along 6-7 months down the line.

I wonder if it'll have USB 3.0, and a new GPU... and whether the MBP 17's ExpressCard port will be replaced with a crummy SD slot.

I'm sure they'll work it out for you, they probably get it a lot after updates.

Oh I see, :( that sucks.

I don't mind using core2duo. it works fine for me it just pisses me off that something comes out right after i buy it. If it comes out during the summer then screw that, i'll keep this one. it's a small loss and I need this laptop for school anyways.
