Current MacBook Pro Models Deleted From Best Buy's Inventory System? Updates Imminent?

That's normal, they only do it to drum up anticipation. It's a tradition. No modern online store needs to be taken down for hours to update half a dozen store items.

I have no need for a MBP. My current MBP is less than 6 months old. Perfectly servicable. Runs fine. So I do not need a new MBP.
I DO NOT NEED A NEW MBP! Tempt me not!

Ok, I'm good. It's cool. I'll just wait till the Store comes back up, and just take a peek. Just a look. A glance. Maybe a quick spec comparison. No harm in that.

I don't mind using core2duo. it works fine for me it just pisses me off that something comes out right after i buy it. If it comes out during the summer then screw that, i'll keep this one. it's a small loss and I need this laptop for school anyways.

if it also updates the GPU and USB3.0...you'll want it. which speed did you get? however the fact that you got a custom setup sounds like it will be hard to return it.

This is actually quite interesting: My daughters MBP has died and had to be replaced (waiting for a replacement) and we just received a message that it will be replaced with a newer model!

p.s. Same for an earlier returned iPod Touch (just a new model number I presume).

the 9400m will be updated as well with the processors imo. its not just a speed bump processor upgrade. if they go to the i family, which they absolutely will, the graphics will go up as well.3

I'd like to see a good one from Nvidia, not ATI (despite the lack of DirectX11)

I doubt they would move from Nvidia at this point.

Yeah, if they bump the 13" and 15" to 1440x900 and 1680x1050 they'll be consistent with the 17".

Comon guys.. we certainly would have heard more about this update if it were happening today. All we've got is a potentially forged Geekbench post and a Best Buy inventory change which has been known to happen outside of updates.

Nothing is happening today! I actually agree with one other poster here who suggests it will be an adjustment for iPad pre-orders. Guaranteed that's what it is.. just to enrage us all!

Oh but this even more exiting news! I have had a total of 8 power supplies replaced in my MacPro (2009) and I am now asked to return it and get a brand new one. Though there's no mention of a "new model" here Thank you Apple! Finally!

I am going to go 17" this round only to get 1920x1080. I cant do this low 1440x900 anymore
