Considering how we were all affected by this, before and after the disappointment, I think it's safe to say we've been owned by Apple.
the fact that jobsy decided to do this 'innocent' maintenance downtime on a tuesday at exactly sameday/time that us saddo's were hoping for updates is proof that he's just messin with our emotions like a cruel parent offering sweeties then pulling them away as you excitedly reach out.

I think if we added up all of the Arrandale MBP threads, we'd find that there are more posts on this topic than on any other topic in MR history.
Just a guess.
What are the odds that they update the store twice in the same day? Aperture is only a $200 product. I can't believe they would spend that long on the store for it.
