The "good" votes are still ahead. There's no way to spin it aside from just basically making things up when the obvious numbers are right there showing that the made up statements are just that.

I think you are right, I must have downloaded it somehow. I would prefer to go straight to 11.2.1 instead, is there a method for me to skip iOS 11 and install 11.2.1?

Delete the update from your device's storage and check for updates again.

What you posted has been around iOS 10, as has already been pointed out many times before.

That aside, it doesn't relate to or change anything about plain made up things that were stated in relation to the poll in this thread. There wouldn't be any need to try to deflect things if made up things weren't posted to begin with.

You were trying to tie in throttling which was already in place since iOS 10 and didn't have anything new to it when iOS 11 came out. Then you were somehow saying that the "bad" votes in the poll were somehow the majority, when that is just not true and can clearly be seen in the poll. Let's not pretend that made up things were not just implied but actually said, just to attempt to deflect, backpedal, and revise.

Do you ever take a break from mindlessly defending Apple and, more specifically, the reliability and overall quality of iOS 11? iOS 11 is far worse than previous releases - that is true for myself, my family, and my friends. That iOS 11 is far buggier and more unreliable than previous releases is the near-concensus among tech journalists and the wider tech community. It is obvious to everyone who honestly evaluates these things and your continuous dismissals are simply detached from reality. Your constant defense of Apple and iOS 11 (or at least saying it's no worse than past releases) is the equivalent of posting thirty times per day around the MobileMe launch and saying that everything was going well and that other cloud services have bugs too. It's just silly.

What does that have to do with my comment about the votes in this thread?

I'm sick of my iPad Pro 10.5 lagging and jittering like an iPad 2. Apple's inablitiy to write an OS that can smoothly render animations frustrates me.

My iPad no longer a works with personal hotspot post iOS 11 and the lock screen won't render iMessage previews properly.

Glad my SE is still on 10.3.3

The experience isn’t consistent between users and devices which is concerning. @oldmacs you said your pro isn’t functioning properly? I wonder if location, upgrade path, software installed, etc could be playing a part. As weird as that sounds for location, it makes me wonder if there are different builds that we pull from based on our isp location. Same numbers but different build systems essentially. I wonder if someone could get in pull the system and compare it from varying devices.

I've used a lot of iPad Pro 10.5's on iOS 11 due to my work and they all to the same things in relationship to jittering and lagging animations. I've even compared with iPad pros at the Apple Store and it's the same thing.

iOS 11 still stutters on just occasional swiping at apps menu, and apps load far slower than they use to be

Updated my 1st gen iPad Pro to 11.2.1 and I can detect some very mild stuttering but nothing intolerable. I like most of the functionality gains for iPad, especially the dock and the app switcher, but I don’t find the split view very smooth.

this is as a result of the poor optimization of ios 11 which lies beneath the operating system itself
    --- Post Merged, Jan 3, 2018 ---
His conspiracies are just too far from the reality of what ios 11 has turned out to be compared to previous ios release which is very obvious

Tried to downgrade to 10.3. The installation completed but when the device rebooted it couldn’t boot and said that it needed to be restored. Tried it multiple times with no success. Sad.

I don’t understand what you mean. As far as I know I used the only method available - Option+Restore in iTunes and selected the 10.3 ipsw file.

Although I dislike iOS 11 it’s not as bad as some let on, I am far from an apologist btw.
One thing that drives me mad is phone calls when I pull the device away from my ear on all other iOS the screen would light up to the keypad. With iOS 11 it doesn’t do this and I have to tap the screen like a mad man. Don’t like those annoying widgets that stand out at the bottom when typing a text message like a sore thumb, Dislike the new App Store, dislike not being able to fully shut off wifi or Bluetooth unless I go to settings, dislike the lag when changing a song on my pioneer stereo via Bluetooth (takes 20seconds to 1 minute) previous versions of iOS it changes instantly...

If I had a chance to downgrade would I? In a heart beat! I was so angry when I woke up to numerous ipsw signing changes that had ended by the time I got to my computer.
