Wait.. are you suggesting HDR to be disabled from your TV setting or ‘in-game menu setting’? (I have ‘smart HDR’ for my Samsung TV setting as an option.)Console gamers, switch off HDR.

I'm a mixture of both, although for Witcher 3 I wish that I would have dropped the difficulty at the final boss fight. I had to retry so many times to kill him it stopped being fun.For me, its not about trying to beat a game at its most challanging setting, but rather the story and play through. Horizon zero dawn is a great example where they had story-mode and it was the experience that was enjoyable, not how hard it was to kill a mechanical horse or anything
Bolded:Apparently the HDR in the game, especially on consoles, is fake and SDR derived. Hence why the game looks a bit washed out compered eith PC. It looks better in SDR until the developer release a HDR patch.
Disabling film grain further improves the "washed out"-look.
I will disabled all the above in my sessions later this evening.
I play in wussy mode, i.e., easy![]()
Easy mode is fine. However I would discourage it if you intend to play online. No reply needed, but A lot of us play in ‘easy mode’. There’s nothing wrong with that. I don’t think anyone should be a labeled/considered a ‘wuss’ just because somebody wants to have a full immersion experience with a game like CDPR. Anyways, just doesn’t seem appropriate to label it ‘wussy’. We’re all gamers on different levels, it’s all about the fun level.
For the PS5 in game. For the Xbox I believe you have to change the system settings but I am not positive.Wait.. are you suggesting HDR to be disabled from your TV setting or ‘in-game menu setting’? (I have ‘smart HDR’ for my Samsung TV setting as an option.)
I couldn't find a HDR toggle in the same and simply disabled HDR in the system settings on my Series X.For the PS5 in game. For the Xbox I believe you have to change the system settings but I am not positive.
No online gameplay for me. The last time I played online Was GTA IV. Strictly campaign for the gaming experience. I personally just enjoy the aspect of the core gameplay, especially from RPG’s.Easy mode is fine. However I would discourage it if you intend to play online.
I once played a game on easy mode and enjoyed the single mode story over a few weeks.
When I then started playing online i was completely annihilated because my reaction time and approach to battles were not geared for the "real world".
Thank you. I’ll look into it.For the PS5 in game. For the Xbox I believe you have to change the system settings but I am not positive.
[Also, word is through a podcast, that CDPR is releasing another ‘stability patch’ sometime before/after Christmas
If you put a game on easy mode to avoid the risk of dying so you can experience the story, you're negating the point of it being a game. Without the risk factor it's just a story, and inevitably a completely amateurish, bloated, tedious story. No online gameplay for me. The last time I played online Was GTA IV. I usual play games at normal settings. However for Cyberpunk I chose hard as a review mentioned that normal doesn't encourage you to maximise the use of inventory and weapons to complete missions. If you put a game on easy mode to avoid the risk of dying so you can experience the story, you're negating the point of it being a game. If the people who wrote videogame stories could actually write like they wish they can, they'd be working in the movies.
I think l CDPR could have been more honest about the level of performance that previous gen console gamers should expect.I guess there's a bit of frustration and backlash with the game, seems mostly with people on last gen consoles.
That's the gist of the beginning portion of the JuiceHead's video. He supplied evidence that CDPR told a investor that the game should run very well on legacy consoles. They also showed off console videos, where for the console trailers CDPR showed the PS4 with a car drving very slow, and no combat, that was on the PS5.I think l CDPR could have been more honest about the level of performance
I think the pre-orders and pre-load culture needs to die. They also showed off console videos, where for the console trailers CDPR showed the PS4 with a car drving very slow, and no combat, that was on the PS5.
No question it’s a industry wide issueI am not just pointing fingers at CDPR
I said the same thing after the problems with fallout 76 and I preordered CP77.Going forward it's probably best not to pre order
Any improvement visually or is it just for stability?Patch 1.04 is out for Playstation peeps. Xbox folk will get the patch “soon”.
I'm running this on a fairly new (2019 model) higher end-ish gaming machine with a decent upper mid level GPU (my estimate of upper mid level) and while the CPU is not being overly utilized the GPU seems to be. I'm surprised at how my RTX 2060 super struggles on the game in high detail. I have a nice balance of detail setting and I'm only seeing FPS in the 50s to 40s depending on the busyness on screen
As for my take on CP77 I'm a bit overwhelmed/underwhelmed. I guess I ended the prologue without realizing it LOL. Its not as long as I was led to believe but that's ok. I think I'm trying to do too much open wordly-ness and I'm just like level 2. I'm taking a break and I'm going to revisit the game and maybe re-adjust my character and style of play.

That's really good news for PS4 usersBig visual improvements.
