How do you refund physical copies?

I've been completely ignoring the main quest and doing side quests, questions marks, etc. You get to see so many parts of the city and gain some good loot. I just visited this cool garden park area that you had to take stairs down to. I never would have spotted it just driving around.

I find the side quests more fun than the main story so far, I am not far into it though.

I posted this in the PC gaming forum thread, but I know some of you are using PC's in this thread.

Oh crap... this actually works for Ryzen CPU's. Apparently the cd projekt red 1st developed this for bulldozer 8 years ago... so it's not utilizing SMT (Simultaneous Multi-Threading) technology in AMD Ryzen CPUs:

My fps isn't dropping down to 60 anymore... here is a video with details:

Decent video showing side-by-side video comparison of different Gen consoles reflecting the graphic changes, textures, saturation, shading and black point for character models/gameplay scenery:

[Edit:

The background music is obnoxious, just turn down the volume.]

Secondly, anyone get into a shootout with the police. I did a quick save and tried but I got overwhelmed as more of them spawned in. Any long lasting impacts, i.e., NCPD will always be hostile? I didn't survive the last attempt otherwise I could find out
Yesterday I roamed around for the first time and learned that you can't behave in Night City in the way that you do in GTA.

I approached a "High Danger" suspected crime scene. To my surprise the criminals dressed in all black were next level in their ability as if they are John Wick himself.

One of them was teleporting himself a few meters at a time in a zig zaggy pattern weilding a sword

Another time I was approaching a "Moderate Danger" crime scene when three police officers turned up mid combat and started shooting at me together with 4 other criminal.

At the third crime scene I visited I moved around during combat and ended up getting hit by a car and lost 30% of my health, followed by a rain of bullets while I was on the ground.

F my life 🤣

I ran into that issue, they're a nice challenge to take down. Not horribly hard if you're patient, They tend to be easier to hit when they're further away

That's happened to me as well, I try to save before entering into those areas where gangs are shooting in case the police show up. I've found that I get overwhelmed by them, including drones and police robots dealing damage.

I save before any engagement.

Lol. I haven't had drones shooting at me yet.

My goal this week is to get better weapons and more ammo.

To avoid police being alerted and joining in on a shoot you, you have to kills the criminals as quickly as possible. This basically requires powerful guns or meele weapons.

I have a really nice legendary revolver that can all but one shoot people (in the head) and I'm very pleased with that. I generally don't run into the police on the NCPD missions where they ask you to take down a gang or something. Those missions seem to have no risk of police involvement regardless of how slow you are

I save before having a conversation
I read somewhere that you can actually save in mid conversation, not sure if that's a PC thing with hitting the F5 and I've not tried it yet either so YMMV

Uhhhh I just realized that the PS4 version has a quicksave option. That sure would have be useful in the hours I've been playing.

Oh wow. One of the "missing cabs" missions has a tie-in to one of my favorite games. I realized it instantly (no spoilers). I loved it!

The delamain quest? The last cab I found... it really showed my how bad I am at fps games. I had to get my 13 year old to finish it for me. He did in 2 tries... he figured out how to attack the 2nd time around... finished it. Takes of my headphones, gets out of my chair, looks at me... and says, "That was easy." :(

Encountered first glitch with my new Xbox, where my car got stuck inside of a building (It kept ‘styro-glitching’), wasn’t an issue, just had to reload. I did report the glitch to CDPRs live feed, it sounds like they are reviewing every technical entry you make about the game, which I like. That’s similar to how Apple does things, you ‘submit feedback performance issues’, it gets reviewed. (CDPR even responds with a receipt.)

I'm going stealth/netrunner for my first playthrough. I'm enjoying it but I'm also looking forward to ripping open doors instead of sneaking and trying out some of the heavy weapons.

I have had the game crash twice on me, but there are so many auto-save slots I never lose much progress.
I have learned that it's not always a good idea to horde too many weapons. Some missions require you to disarm at the entrance of a building.

Once inside or on the way out you might for some segments of the mission only have access to stealth, quick hacks and health regen injections.

Therefore I dopp make sure to periodically sell weapons before big missions as cash, unlike weapons is retained from mission to mission.

I know this slogan is overused and redundant, but this is legit going to happen, “heads are gonna roll”, and there will be jobs lost with CDPR, as their stock has dropped severely given the launch issues and cost the three main founders over the net of 1 billion, kind of a staggering article what the company is experiencing right now:

Long term the business will be fine. The game and its extension will be loved by tens of millions of next gen console and PC gamers.

In the mean time, CDPR have committed fraud. The game should never have been marketed for the base ps4 and Xbone.

People buy consoles because you don't have to worry about performance. Games are optimised and just run.

The biggest battle ground ahead will be war of words between CDPR and gamers. The CEO has said they future patches will address stability and bug.

However previous gen gamers also have an issue with performance. Both parties will probably disagree on what is considered "playable". For me, 15-20fps isn't and I would rather not buy the game.

The game is so massive and super detailed that I see no path for improving performance on base consoles by 10-15fps.

For CDPR it means that they might have to make the multiplayer version a next gen and PC only exclusive.

Maybe it's just me, but Im finding this game pretty difficult. I have to unload multiple clips into someone before they die, and I die at least once or twice at every encounter. I probably just suck.

What game setting are you playing, easy, standard hard?

The X key is your friend (on the PC, not sure what it is on a console), keep hitting that as your health gets low. I generally don't die, and its not because I'm an awesome player, quite the contrary, but on easy mode, it seems quite forgiving.

Other suggestions, loot everything, you'll get more powerful weapons (which take less ammo to take someone down). Try to improve your accuracy so head shots will stop someone. Also look at the clothing you pick up, I've upped my armor by changing the outfits.

Finally consider perk points. Strength increases your health and Technical ability gives higher protection in the armor category.

Playing on standard but may go down to easy. I'm still pretty early on in the game. I may be trying to bite off more than I can chew. I'll keep trying to upgrade weapons.

I stopped playing the main quest for a few days, and instead did side missions, nothing formal, but if I see a NCPD icon something or a crime being committed, I show up with guns blazing. The more you use a specific type of weapon, the more your skills increase for that type, so for me, I've been doing all that with a pistol.

I'm on the first quest of Act 1, which is broken into two portions. I finished one portion and then took that break I just mentioned. I'm now ready to try the second half, where as I'm fairly comfortable with my weapon, I have a couple of high powered/high damage weapons, and I was lucky to find some outfits with some nice armor ratings. I don't know what the second half of the quest will entail but I think I'm leveled nicely so I won't die too quickly, probably a slow painful lingering death :p

Do you find you need to conserve ammo or is ammo conservation not needed in this game?
