Do you find you need to conserve ammo or is ammo conservation not needed in this game?
No, but then I'm using a weapon that is probably the most common. I also have a sniper rifle and an assault rifle, and in all honesty I've not run into any shortages in those, but they're used sparingly. I found a really nice legendary revolver that can one shot most people if I get a head shot. Its DPS isn't as high as others, because its a revolver but single shot damage is very high. So my reliance on a handgun has some unintended benefits of gathering tons of ammo

Maybe it's just me, but Im finding this game pretty difficult. I have to unload multiple clips into someone before they die, and I die at least once or twice at every encounter. I probably just suck.
Which level are you at? Have you received your motor cycle and a legendary weapon?

In the beginning the guns suck and aren't string enough to quickly kill criminals or Police offers. Legendary weapons are much more superior and enable you go kill significantly quicker. Night and day difference.

Try to do as many easy missions as possible. As Maflynn said, take period breaks from main missions by building up your character through side quests and low difficulty police missions.

Use grenades and where possible, kill people in stealth by sneaking up behind them.

I hit my first show stopping bug. During a mission I ran into a room during a firefight and closed the door to get a breather. The door required 9 strength (body?) to open and I had the default of 3. There was no control I could find to open the door. I was stuck in there and had to reload.

You need to pay really close attention to the difficulty levels. At first I was driving around and just trying any question mark I would come across and was getting slaughtered. Now I look for ones such as "moderate". Also you can use the crafting menu to upgrade your weapons with parts you have found.

That reminds me of a long-ish mission that I attempted yesterday.
The only way to complete it was using a legendary weapin that you get using the mission.

However, I was two levels below the one required in order to be able to use the weapon. To make it worse, there access to a certain room was mission critical, however I didn't have the strength or technical ability to open it. 🤨

Basically I had to abandon the mission and do other side missions to build up my character.:p

I therefore echo the recommendation of approaching the mission in the order of easiest to most difficult.

How many points in strength or technical to open doors? I cannot force open doors right now

That's what I'm worried about and that's why I'm spent days just going around the city and ranking up. I may do that again prior to finishing the second part of the first quest I may be looking for certain weapons so more off-quest time in the game

From my vague memory the door required level 6 or 8 in either strength or technical ability.

While trying to open the door I had a guy swinging a katana sword at me while another chap with a rifle was calling me "chicken sh*t". 🤣

Had a great session this evening and am find my flow and ways of doing thing.

Meele weapons are essential. Thr beat thing I did was kill a police officer, flee from his colleagues and return to the same spot a few minutes later. He was still on the ground and I picked up his stick.

Since then, I have probably killed 7-8 criminals with it. It's so much quicker than to club someone three times than firing 10-20 bullets at them.

Sometimes I also sucker kill the odd gang member to loot him and flee the scene. :p

When it comes to solving crime, I prefer doing so in industrial areas and spot where I can seek cover or flee mid combat. I dislike combat in tight urban areas as gang members or police can shoot at me from unexpected directions.

Regarding weapons. I sell all but three. My preference is a 100-140 damage pistol, machete/stick and a shotgun. Everything else I sell and stick up heavily on sticky bombs and bounce back injectors.

You can never have too many bounce back injectors.😎

This is very bad for CD Projekt Red.

My guess is if SIE does allow an improved Cyberpunk 2077 back into their store, it will be at a reduced price.

It is likely that Xbox will delist CB2077 as well.

CD Projekt Red is a publicly traded company. The market has been following this debacle; share prices will likely continue to plummet.

This is Sony's warning to all game developers.

This reminds me of Arkham Knight when it played like crap on PC's, but ran like a champ on consoles. Only difference is, it played like crap on PC's with the latest hardware... lol. Anyway, I took a break from the main story to play some blue question marks... now I have like 51k+ in eddys... :) I hold on to my attribute points, and only use them when it tells me require level to do something. That way I don't have to guess where to put them... if that makes any sense... LOL

It feels so weird to be playing this game on PS5 and have no idea what the issues are that got this game pulled from the PS Store. What a debacle from CDPR. Their image is permanently tarnished.

You don't get it.

You are playing the PS4 version of CP2077 in compatibility mode. It runs like crap on PS4 according to PS4 owners. Between PS4 and Xbox One, those are the two largest current installed user bases.

The version of the game you are playing doesn't perform acceptably for the specific platform it was designed for: PlayStation 4.

You aren't playing the PS5 version of the game. It hasn't been released yet.

The PC scenario is a bit different since it was the only version previewed and reviewers pointed out that to play the PC version of the game, it required some substantial hardware.

PS4 console owners can't just randomly add more VRAM to their consoles.

This is why a lot of PC game reviewers are getting smacked around because their 10/10 reviews don't reflect the gameplay quality for the vast majority of the installed userbase.

Sure the game plays fine on a GeForce 3080 (which almost no one owns) running on an enthusiast-class CPU and motherboard. But that's not the hardware most people are running.

Basically you are saying that you don't understand why people complain about their commute while you are sitting in your chauffeured limousine.

I’m glad you were able to get that off your chest. Thanks for explaining that the PS4 box I have actually means it’s a PS4 game.

I’m not playing it on PS4, therefore I don’t experience the huge bugs. Therefore, I can’t relate.

But I’m glad I could be the vessel for you to air out some pent up frustrations. Have a nice day.

Uh, I don't have a videogame console.

I have a well-appointed PC with a good GPU but I'm not playing CP2077.

I'll wait until it A.) goes on sale, B.) CDPR fixes the most egregious bugs, and C.) there are some killer mods. I expect that I won't be playing this game until in the second half of 2021.

Perhaps by then CDPR will have released their PS5 version.

The PS5 DualSense gamepad is great though! I bought that separately and the Steam desktop client supports the basic functionality.

As for pent-up frustrations, it was likely the voices of hundreds of thousands of current PS4 owners that convinced SIE to pull CP2077 from their store.

I get what you were saying. The crashes with a PS5 are annoying but I’ve otherwise been enjoying the game. It’s easy to forget it apparently runs like dog food on a PS4.

Let's not forget that CP2077 has been in development for a LONG time (eight years?) and has been delayed numerous times (totaling years in fact).

PS4/Xbox One support wasn't an afterthought. Those were "next gen console architecture" when CDPR started this project. CDPR knew that those two would have the largest userbase five years after release.

CDPR knew that CP2077 wasn't release quality on PS4/Xbox One. Until they got their PS5/Xbox Series X/S dev kits, they were testing on PS4 & Xbox One production hardware. They knew damned well how the game performed.

Same with the PC graphics hardware. The day the GeForce 20 series launched, CDPR knew that the existing userbase of GeForce 10 series cards was far larger. Same with Radeon RX 500 series versus the previous gen RX 400 series.

No crashes here on the XBSX either. I don’t think you’re being facetious here, but if you’re not, you’re absolutely accurate in your statement. CDPR is absolutely tarnished.

To me, this is absolutely crazy. They’ve been marketing this game since 2017 through E3 conferences, trailers, images, Console demo’s (On the Xbox One X) and it was slated to be one of the largest releases ever for any Console (We’re talking 10 years of development through when the concept art first started), and now, you’ve got some significant members in the gaming community shaming CDPR for not being forthcoming and upfront like they should have. I think they are a very reputable company on many levels, and the Witcher is probably one of the most top rated games of all time that’s still being talked about today, and then this happens? It really is an unfortunate situation, and I can tell you this, over the course of the next six months, there will be some ‘restructuring’ (A.k.A-Terminations) in their company profile.

And then, the game gets completely pulled from the PlayStation store? Who would’ve thunk, a week ago, they had 8 million copies pre-ordered and now the game is completely pulled within seven days. And the three [Technically 4] owners have lost the net of 1 billion.

Anyway, after playing it extensively again last night, it is a great game. I think it looks amazing, the sound effects, the storyline, character development, there’s at least 350 hours here of gaming if somebody wants it, but it doesn’t take away that the PS4 base model and regular Xbox players don’t have a right to be frustrated, they most certainly do and the company itself posted a bad image of themself, no matter how you look at it.

Super jump looks sick. Can't wait to buy the ability and move vertically. It's crazy expensive though.

Spoiler free video:

I didn’t want to click on that video, but I had to watch it. Looks awesome. Looks like there’s quite a few ‘Easter eggs’ on top of buildings planted around once you achieve that ability.

Yeah. It's an exceptionally detailed game both horizontally, vertically and inside buildings. All of it has to be rendered including a crazy draw distance.

There is no other game like it. Regardless of the number of patches, it will never run well on base Xbone or ps4.

Sony has now pulled the game from their digital store. Microsoft will likely do the same.

One unfortunate issue is that developers are not allowed to make games just for the one x and ps4 pro. The base consoles cannot be excluded.

That's nuts, I've never heard of Sony pulling a game like that. I was watching one yt (I forget which one now), but the person was reporting that PS4 players were actually having problems getting refunds. The CS agent was the telling them that the developer intended to patch and fix the issues, so in playstation's eye the game works - odd type of thing to deny a claim on, but I guess now they've reversed direction

Here's Yter who I watch often, I like what he has to offer and I like his insights on this. Waiting for the next shoe to drop - Microsoft and what will they do?

Some advice on the game, I'll try to avoid spoilers but at one part of the main quest you need to choose Evelyn or not. I was non-committal and the game dialog seemed to indicate you can choose her by calling - I can call, but there's no dialog options to choose. Did I miss my chance? I'd rather not go back to the meeting with her to make that choice, too much game play occurred between then and now. I don't know what the future will bring and I'm afraid I may close off some game choices
