1/2 off iPad Magic Keyboard also.

This has to be an error or a hack because they are not running out of stock.

I guess it could be a great marketing event, if they worked with Apple to move stock.

Was just at the Best Buy in Southfield, MI. I tried to PM and pick one up these up today since TigerDirect is listed on Best Buy's price match guarantee page.

Manager Mike refused the PM and stating the reason as Tiger Direct has been hacked. I asked him if he knew that for sure since that is big and serious news to spread. He would not tell me how they know, but was willing to say it has been confirmed by Best Buy senior management.
I think I would trust any rando on MacRumors before I'd trust a blue Best Buy shirt.

Right, they’re in business together, can’t they just call someone and confirm??
That isn't really how affiliate links work. MacRumors simply gets a small percentage per sale that is attributed to the customer using the affiliate link. They may have a contact there, but being the weekend, that person likely isn't checking their email and/or has no idea what is going on with the sales side.

I get that, but I would expect them to have better contacts than, for example, if you or I were just sharing affiliate links on social.

To your point of it being the weekend, this is true but by now you’d think TD themselves would issue a statement ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I ended up ordering 2 iPad Airs for 313 each, and an M2 MacBook Air with 16GB ram for $707, using my amazon pay method. I'm leary its legit, but feel safe from scamming at least since its from my Amazon acct.

I’ve joined the crowd to see what happens. Feel pretty comfortable with PayPal in the middle. Now to figure out how to pay for all this stuff if it really does go through and stick. 🤣

True. I may try it with PayPal since I see that is a payment option, so they don't see my credit card info. Would not expect to receive it. I also wonder if they actually bill the card immediately, or only when they ship. If they bill at shipping, canceling the order would never hit the credit card except for a preauthorization that is not used.

Yeah, just came out of a Best Buy where they refused to price match: “they might not even fulfill all those orders! It could be coming from a 3rd party reseller and they don’t even say on their website!”

Well, if that’s the case then Best Buy should remove TigerDirect from their price match policy. Otherwise it’s just picking and choosing arbitrarily, based on if corporate thinks the deal is too good for them to match. The claims made could be made about any product on TigerDirect, yet BB still claims it’s one of the websites that it price matches.

Oh, well! First guy in there would’ve put me in but another guy with an attitude ran over exclaiming “is that for the iPad??? We’re not doing that!!”

Best Buy matching terms say they do not cover "pricing errors". Until Tiger Direct responds, or actually ships at this price, Best Buy does not have to honor the price.
Partially fair but also kind of a silly cop out saying it needs to wait to ship. By then it’ll just be too late to have the price matched.

I went in to Best Buy because of these comments on here and the supervisor said they only do Brick and Mortar and the Profit Managers at Best Buy caught on this essentially bogus scam they're doing and closed the loopholes. He's not saying they won't ship the products but they're not being honest about the stock so good luck to everyone who ordered them. I truly hope you get them!

On the MacBook Air, they are selling the 256/16 config. That’s not even a stock config. Yeah, these will all be cancelled. One can hope!

Best Buy priced matched. Got a M2 11 inch 256 for $454. Traded in my 2018 iPad Pro 11 for $300. Steal.
HOW? I went in today and they refused to. I called them through the online and they refused. I bought these 2 iPads a week and half ago and want the price match

I ordered the pink 64gb Air. I figure at this price it would be a great system to run the Beta builds on.

They were starting to run out of stock on everything, so I had to get Starlight in the 5th gen Air (would have preferred blue, but at this price -- on the off chance it ships -- I won't complain. Took my order and confirmed it for $470 (256GB with 5G). We'll see. I used PayPal so I'm not too worried. Not expecting anything, but what the hell?

Looks like the iPad Air deals are ending.

Thoughtful forum members like you provide temptations to people like me.

My late 2018 iPad Pro 11" A12X Bionic 7nm would get 8-10 years of Software Updates and Security Updates.

So maybe I should start shopping around by late 2028 for a 10 Angstrom chip model.
