just buy an eizo:) $5K for a 30"
I love Eizo's, but their prices have gotten crazy. :( So I had to find something else, and chose an NEC 2490. The 30" is too big for the space I have available. Then there's the budget... ;) :p

What's the problem? The OP wanted to get an Apple display, but it's incompatible with his machine (which I think is pretty damn stupid on Apple's part). It's not like he chose a Dell because he thought it was the superior product.

VGA/DVI are approaching death very quickly.

um...no.

just buy an eizo:) $5K for a 30"

why? They just use S-PVA samsung panels that can be found in Samsung's own monitors for much cheaper...

the apple LED is an acception, it uses the normal crappy panel (TFT?).. the higher end 30inch is amazing, you cannot buy anything cheaper that is the same quality as it.

as a cheap-"n00bie" monitor 20inchers->24inchers Dells are fine, they just look like junk.

90% of people dont know a monitor from a Monitor.. meaning they look at it and think yay it works.. they dont know the components nor anything else about them - they simply buy on price.

*facepalm*

you have no clue what you're talking about...

nice one, scrub

funny you're calling me a scrub when EVERY LCD panel uses a TFT matrix, but according to you, only the horrible ones do.

That is why you I linked you to somewhere where you can LEARN about actual panel types.

edit:

Oh and you can find cheaper 30" IPS panels ($700 cheaper in some cases)with the same quality panel as the 30" ACD. But go ahead and spend an extra $700 for a non ergonomic display with no height adjustable stand...

you know what a scrub is?

That is why you I linked you to somewhere where you can LEARN about actual panel types. And maybe you'll learn to open your mouth about a topic when you have at least a slight idea about what you're talking about.

i know what the differences are, just didnt know what was in which screen.

a link to ****** hardly tells me what EVER LCD SCREEN uses... seesh

now, if you've stopped being a stuck up anus this thread can get moving again.

A scrub is someone who use the username Dofot9 at forums...

Second of all, if you knew what the differences were, you would've never brought up TFT in the first place...

Thirdly, ****** will at least lead you in the right direction...
