Where do I see where my December Challenge is? Nothing is showing up in my "monthly challenges" section of awards 🤷🏼‍♀️
There should be a “Limited Edition Challenges” section that would have this challenge. :)

Oh I just have the New Years one there, nothing for December 🤷🏼‍♀️ I guess maybe I didn't get one.
Oh! I was confused, I thought you were asking about the challenge in the comment I posted above, my mistake.

To answer your original question, it’s odd that you didn’t get a December challenge. Did you recently get a new phone or watch? That may have something to do with it.

Or do they disappear if you fail? Like if it says close your stand ring every day and you miss a day?

I got a new phone in August and honestly my watch was sitting in a bowl from March - November (kinda bummed as furloughed and the numbers dropping so much bummed me out instead of inspiring me). So had to pair as new and do all the updates the last day of November.
So maybe that's why? Do ppl have the January 21 monthly challenge showing yet?

I have a perfect month so far 🤷🏼‍♀️

Strange one. But if you were furloughed your should have used the time better! (Joke).
I’ve been so busy at work this year I’ve been struggling to fit in my exercise.

I don’t believe so. I’m pretty sure they only disappear if you didn’t complete them once the month ends.

Hmm, maybe it was from re-pairing your watch??

Good for you. Since I got mine, in September (first AW) my exercise has gone up as has my step count. Weight has gone down. Happy AFB.

Mines a Series 1 so sadly I see os7 is not compatible so eventually will have to get a new one. It's given me 4 good years here's hoping to get at least 1 more out of it!

I went from 18,000 steps a day on average to having to really concentrate on getting more then 4000 so it's been weird!
But now that I am back into it and making small achievable goals I am finding it motivating again. Will need to think of a January one now 👍🏻

My desk job isn’t great for my step count. But I’ve built up to 35 minutes on the cross trainer first thing, then a lunchtime walk if I have the time.

NINE TIMES? Seriously? My challenge is 31 TIMES... on track to complete it... but dang, why different challenges for everyone?

The difference in our challenges is our activity habits. The challenges are usually based off an average, or how many times you did a certain task the previous month. In November, I doubled my move goal 9 times so I had to do the same this month. You probably doubled your goal 31 times recently so your watch is wanting you to do it again.

Arrrghhhh! Guess that makes sense, though.

Isn’t it most likely just a stretch target? To take you a bit further?
Yes, but it also rotates through 6 workouts: Close all three rings, Number of miles, exercise minutes, Double move goal, number of calories, number of workouts. If you didn't do as much with one, it may reduce a bit the next time.

It's weird, too though. in 2019, I had all three rings every day twice, but in 2020 I had it 22 times as well.

So sorry for the newbie question but I searched and cannot find how to display the TOTALS of my monthly activity (Move, Exercise, Stand).

I reached my Dec challenge but want to see by how much I beat it -- the award just says I did it.

Is there a way on the watch or phone to show weekly, monthly and yearly totals of these parameters?

Thank you,

You will have to go to the Health app on your phone and look at the data there, it’s cumbersome to say the least, easiest is probably to go to the monthly view and tap on the bar/graph...

WOW! That’s a beautiful display of achievements!

2020 with the Pandemic has destroyed any of my fitness gains, goals, and movements since here in Toronto the pandemic and lockdowns killed anything of going to the gym. :( Since I just got a Soloflex for some resistance training (all Bowflex option have skyrocketed in price on Kijiji locally as well as Bowflex themselves with limited production/stock not much I can do).

The motivation you all have and threads like this really have me yearning to improve in 2021.

Curious is anyone achieving any running or similar activities using Skipping or Rowing or indoor cycling? I’m former sprinter not a long distance runner so I need to work up to any distance running and without a treadmill indoors and rapid changing winter season temperatures & climate it’ll be very difficult.

PS: Are you all sharing your Fitness data for Apple Watch competitions?

Cheers.

Apple's Health App is where you can find this data but I strongly recommend an app called Health View. It gives a significantly improved, much easier to read and more detailed breakdown of your activity and has capability to track many other things. I have no affiliation with the developer, just a very happy customer.

Haha thanks! I can't wait to start collecting more, it's surprisingly fun.

Damn, that sucks :(. Have you tried taking walks or biking? I've starting doing those more and have really enjoyed it. The pandemic and lockdowns have really motivated me to start exercising more. It gave me an excuse to get outside and get some fresh air back in March and April when the lockdowns were just starting, and now biking has become a part of my normal routine!

I have a few friends and family members I share my fitness data with, and I've only done one competition with a friend. Really hoping to do more in the future!
