Haha thanks! I can't wait to start collecting more, it's surprisingly fun.

Damn, that sucks :(. Have you tried taking walks or biking? I've starting doing those more and have really enjoyed it. The pandemic and lockdowns have really motivated me to start exercising more. It gave me an excuse to get outside and get some fresh air back in March and April when the lockdowns were just starting, and now biking has become a part of my normal routine!

I have a few friends and family members I share my fitness data with, and I've only done one competition with a friend. Really hoping to do more in the future!

I need to purchase a bike ... it’s been 14yrs and I’ll bet my legs are weak! The winters here always give me a bad runny nose and cough with phlegm, so I’m debating just getting a light bike with that treadmill thingy to bike indoors until it’s warmer - though I’m unsure if Watch will record the distance and exercise data ?? Outside biking, clothing will limit this for me (jacket size is a parka) I’m a warm climate Loving being.

I do go for walks just not long enough.

My major set back is having no worked from 1 wk prior to official Pandemic global announcement until late October! I’m almost fully caught up on my debts and necessities that I’m just holding off spending over these holidays to ensure i’ve got a 1-3mth Savings (rule of thumb); I’m at 1 month and already eyeing spendings but for health reasons.

I’m very finicky on bikes. I had a Trek hardtail 14yrs ago and although small for a mountain bike it was super heavy which I disliked. I’m hoping to find something like a 2017 Norco Charger - which they dont’ even make anymore. So I need to do a LOT of digging, until then ... walks start tomorrow at lunch as I work from home and more after lunch.

Thanks for the ideas and help.

I'm in a similar position. Had a gym membership and since the pandemic, it has been closed more than it's been open. And of course I am trying to avoid going out to public places unless absolutely necessary. Have been walking and riding whenever possible. With winter setting in now, riding is being cut back depending on what kind of snow is laying on the ground, but I've been enjoying either one when I do it. Trying to close out a perfect month for December and continue a long streak of 46 days. 4 more closures of Move rings and I'll also get the 365 badge. Then of course it's on to closing the move rings for 7 days straight to get the New Year Challenge. I have a feeling January's goal is going to be difficult.

Done. A combination of Christmas week and the weather wreaked havoc on my motivation.

the indoor cycle workout will record your heart rate, calories but does not record distance.
I bike 7 days per week, 2-3 mountain bike rides and the rest on my spin bike, while I live in a "Warm" climate, it's been down to 32-43 lately in the early mornings when I start my mtn bike rides ...

Always look forward to my next challenge:)

13 more days and I get this one:cool:
that's awesome, so you started hitting your move goal on 7/24/15!
I have 5 more days to go and I will hit 1827, that is actually 5 years ... wish Apple would stick to years vs numbers, it's more meaningful, to me ...

Yes - July 2015 when I got my AW - it's been a long haul😅😅 - still more sweat and tears to come I fear🤣🤣🤣

Closed my rings every day this month. I really the next month is not close your rings or distance. I hope it's Calories. I also didn't get a "well done, you closed your rings every day this year" badge. That's disappointing.

Thank you MUCH appreciated!!

Ordering my next Apple Watch ... S6 Nike+

PS: This generation I find it VERY ODD Apple sections off the Nike+ on it’s own and does NOT specially state it’s the gen.6 in the iPadOS/iOS Apple Store which I have to use since we’re in full lockdown in Toronto. I’m skeptical of what I’ll be getting, where with the S5 and earlier (I had the S3/S4’s Nike+) it was very clear.

hmm, haven't really noticed anything re Apple's "branding" mainly because I'm still happy with my S4, and while it is SBSS, I only use Nike sport bands, much more comfortable, for me ...good luck on your purchase

It does show this towards the bottom of the page:

So apparently you can buy a S6 or SE as an Apple Watch Nike version.

EDIT:

Also, on this page https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-watch/apple-watch-nike

It has the following icons to show the different versions:

Happy New Year folks! Wishing you all a very healthy, peaceful, and joyous 2021.

I can't wait to complete my "Ring in the New Year" challenge as well as the January challenge.

Right now I have a question: how come my activity data on the Apple Watch and iPhone 12 Pro max are not synced the same? Apple Watch is more accurate meanwhile iPhone seems to lag behind. I've tried shutting down and opening up both devices, but to no avail.

For instance, on the Move Goal 300%, I've been rewarded it 4 times. But on my iPhone it only says 2 times.

If I remember correctly, last time for the Thanksgiving challenge, I had the same issue about incongruous data. I completed my Thanksgiving goals and was not rewarded with a medal. Something is strange.
