I just got the email and downloaded it. But what exactly is the point in it? Or am I being stupid (again)?

Its an itunes add on that seems to improve the sound that comes out of your laptop (it did on mine anyway)

Looks like there may be more apps to come too :)

Sorry to repeat but iWOW has been added and apparently there is going to be another added as a part of "Stage 3"

Hey Everyone. Are this apps available at such a good price because newer versions are coming out? Or is it some Christmas Bundle?

Also, will there be the 12th,13th app coming out? Have all been unlocked?

The offer us tempting but is it worthy?

It´s the same with apps as it is with computers: If you want it, get it now. If you can wait, wait until you can get something better...

Hey fred,
Some of the apps in the summer bundle did see updates shortly after, but I believe those developers gave you the upgrade for free too. For the most part, these are medium-to-small developers. The concept is to bundle a bunch together, promote the hell out of it and make money by sheer volume. It's the "Costco" approach to sales. Some like it, some don't, others think MacUpdate is exploiting and raking in huge bucks....big whoop! I think it is a great thing. Huge exposure for these developers, gains in user-base, yet extremely cheap for the Mac community. Win-win-win.

Hard to say if there'll be more added, maybe at 10,000? They're doing this one a little different than the summer one.

It's only worth it if you use any or all of the apps. I use many of the last ones still and see myself using many of these too. Look at it like this, if you really want RapidWeaver, for example, you're buying that at regular price and getting 10 other apps for free.

Anyway, that's my take on it. :)

I bought the bundle mainly for XMind and Yep. Yep is great, but the serial number for XMind does not resemble a valid SN. It is one character long. There are supposed to be 5 groups of characters. Has anyone gotten the one character SN to work?

Ok, I think the apps look good to me. Heard about Rapidweaver and Forklift, too. veryone's talking about Yep.

Last question, should any apps be unlocked, will the earlier buyers get them?

When any app is unlocked, all buyers get the new app. That being said, there were only 10 "official" apps in the bundle and #8, #9, and #10 were all unlocked by reaching the goal. So everyone got those 10.

They added an 11th "bonus" application later... which everyone also got.

So if they do add any more applications, then everyone will likely also get those as well.

So there's no penalty for being the 1st or the last to buy the bundle.

Yes, any additional unlocked app (serial number and download link) will be mailed to you.

Ok, understood it arn.

Thanks for explaining it out for me. Illl buy it with ease now.

The promo has now gotten to 9920, I suspect we might see another unlock when when/if we get to 10K packages purchased (well I'm hoping).

Yes, Alpha... but it is not limited in any way. So unless it is super buggy or unusable in its current state, you could look at it as a free software...

Nice bonus! Looks quite capable and simple! :)

Pricing is increasing between now and the deadline.

at $50.31 now for the bundle.

Plus another app just added. RAGE MapDesign 1.2.1
Impress your web site visitors with interactive image maps.

RAGE MapDesign... Impress your web site visitors with interactive image maps using standards based HTML and CSS. RAGE MapDesign provides an amazingly fast, easy way to create image maps for your web site that respond to user actions such as moving your mouse over certain sections of an image.

Image maps are clickable images on a web site that behave differently depending on where a user clicks on the image. The biggest problem when designing image maps is defining how your web site should react when a user clicks a certain section of an image.

RAGE MapDesign offers a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) user interface, allowing you to visually create simple or complex image maps for your web site. In addition, RAGE MapDesign lets you add mouse-over and mouse-down effects using standards based CSS so you can easily make your web site stand out among your visitors.

Since RAGE MapDesign uses only HTML and CSS, there is no need for your users to install third party plug-ins or add-ons. Your web site will still be fast, responsive and compatible with all major web browsers.

Make your web sites come alive with RAGE MapDesign.

sweet! :D

I would have purchased this, but since they're raising the price I won't.

Not going to pressure me into it MU!

cool app but no key was mailed to me yet. did you get one?

Yes, but not via email. Log into your MU account by clicking the "Your receipts and serial numbers" at the bottom of the promo page. Then click on "view receipt" for the current promo, it should be listed.

Less than $5 per app isn't cheap enough? Shop early :D

About 1.5 days left.

Just don't see why I should pay more than anyone else.

Hence the incentive to buy-in early, but I see nothing wrong with a progressive price countdown in the final days.

Well, I do. If their intention is to sell 15,000 bundles so they can support "TJ" they're not doing a good job at it. I wouldn't have bought it at the beginning, but was about to pull the trigger when i saw the charity plug.

Then, I saw that it was $15 more than the day before and put down my credit card.

Too bad for "TJ."
