I don't know anyone who has purchased an Apple watch yet. First time i'm aware of that a new Apple product was launched and you didn't see someone with it showing it off.
It must be a country thing. AW is pretty common here, with people I know getting them within weeks of launch. It's a great accessory, the issue with these watches across the board, is that they do not do any unique function unto themselves. Probably a mixture of internal space and constrained battery life.

Like others have said, people who want an iPhone have got one, kids have got their parents hand me downs of the 4S/5/5S models to be able to stay in contact with their friends and what not. Plus the lack of any really great stand out features make the iPhone just a bit "Meh oh well" now.

I couldn't tell you what the differences between the 6/6+ and 6S/6S+ are at all apart from one has a faster A-chip inside.

Ive got a 5S at the moment, contracts up and phones paid off, I'm not going to run out and get the SE or 6S/6S+ I'm just not that impressed by them. Ok so the SE has 6S internals which is great and all but they will be out of date in September, it's also lacking the better FaceTime camera and the speedy new TouchID and at the sometime my 5S is still plodding along doing what I need it to do. I'll see what the 7/7+ brings to the table but I'm really not expecting much these days from Apple. They've lost that 'WOW factor' for me. I miss keynotes like the introduction to the iPod Nano or the 1gen iPhone when it really was a game changer.

Apple needs to shake up iOS a bit, IMO... They've refreshed the look with iOS7, but the functionality is still quite limited.

The stale lock screen, without something as basic as a current weather display or some kind of live widgets or tiles for quick access to info...

The springboard is sooo stale in look, cannot customize the size, position of icons, the app icons are static with no way to display info if desired.

Also would love just a simple way to load music onto the damn device, without having to go thru the pig that is iTunes. Get with the times, Apple, allow a simple USB transfer of music to the device.

Oh and before i get slammed for being an an android fanboy, I've only owned iPhones since the 3G. Never had android. But you can add and customize the look and feel easily on them. It's one of the reasons I still jailbreak, to be able to tweak the look/feel of things that Apple won't let you otherwise.

To be fair... the analysts are considering the quarter we're in right now... where it is expected that Apple will announce next week that the current April quarter will have the first drop in sales in the history of the iPhone.

If that's true... what makes you think the July or October quarters will be any better? I can't imagine the iPhone 6S and SE will skyrocket in popularity the rest of this year.

So if Apple's sales are down for multiple quarters this year... then 2016 will, in fact, be a disappointing year of no growth. That's what the analysts are basing their predictions on.

Could the iPhone 7 wow everyone and sell 100 million units a quarter? Sure! But that won't be reported until January 2017

As it stands... it looks like Apple will not sell as many units in 2016 as they did in 2015

It's not all doom and gloom though. The units Apple does sell will be very high-margin units that other companies can only dream of selling in that volume.

Still though... a drop like this has never happened before. I'll be interested to see Apple's response to this.

There may well be a year over year drop, but he doesn't take into account two things:
1. When iPhone 6 and 6 plus were released Apple was nowhere close to meeting demand through the holiday quarter ( Fiscal quarter 1) and this pushed an unusual amount of sales into Q2 2015. This has created a tough compare for Q2 2016.

2. Very few sales of the upcoming iPhone will be in Fiscal 2016.

A mac mini? Are you kidding?

I think he is more than experienced and is thinking something more like the old G4 tower that was priced in line with the iMac with.... LOTS OF BUILD OPTIONS!

The macpro is a pro device and priced like one. The mini hasn't been updated in ages, and it has no balls.

I also wouldn't flame Sony & MS "down there."

Since you are such an experienced expert, then surely you must recall The Pippin....

Yeah, that would be called the Mac Pro.

30 seconds of research, the base G4 Power Mac in 2001 was $2,499USD (adjusted for inflation that's $3,362USD), a base Mac Pro is $2,999. So the powerful, "customizable" desktop Mac is actually cheaper now than it was then.

The only other G4 desktops were the iMac, Mac Mini and the Cube, none of which were all that customizable.

Agree, bring simple drag and drop and a file manager.

In Romania Orange sold it's entire iPhone SE launch stock in about a week and we were told we'll probably have to wait 2-3 weeks on our order.
That's what I'm waiting to hear about. Let's see how the SE actually sells before we say the iPhone isn't selling as well as it used to. I suspect Kuo is wrong when he says SE sales are "insignificant".

Possibly. But if they do that, their stock is going to tank. They're between a rock and a hard place, I think.

Well I'll tell you one thing about the SE -- Apple absolutely lost money on me. They lost at least $250 I was prepared to spend on a 4" 6s.

There's very little that Apple can add to the next 4" premium phone that will make me want to upgrade, although the low price of the SE makes that option more attractive than if I'd just spent that extra $250 on a 4" 6s.

I don't see this as bad news for Apple users. If anything, Apple will have to work harder to improve hardware, software and services. Competition is good for everyone. Declining sales will be more than an adequate incentive to do better

In what way is it a "great accessory"? You even admit that it doesn't actually do anything. I've always thought it was such a silly product. Might as well release the Apple Toaster or the Apple Mattress or the Apple Toothbrush.

The bottom line is that there is absolutely no reason for that stupid watch to exist. It doesn't serve any need in the marketplace. It's just a gadget meant to suck money from people who are brand loyal.

Apple is stagnant, resting on its laurels and simply way too slow in product development in a globally competitive world. When was the last time they released a product, especially an iPhone, where people when "wow!"? They are becoming 1990's Microsoft - trying to do too many things in too many segments. Apple Car - really?

It still produces great products, but their competitive advantage is shrinking fast. Tim Cook - Apple need to step up its game and focus on creating a few great products, not a smorgesborg of decent products.

And start focusing Apple's R&D resources on designing innovative electronics again instead of watch bands....

No reason for the watch to exist when wearable tech is growing faster than any other sector in the industry. Nevermind that the watch has a ton of competition that it's also outselling. You really have your head buried deep, deep into your imaginary world.
