Delayed Verizon ship date

I ordered a 32gb white 4s at 2:55am EST. My original e-mail said 10/14 as an arrival date. Now my expected SHIP date says 10/21. I'm not bugging out, prob just a glitch. If not I'll wait a week and a half. Theres NO way I'm waiting on line for more than 30 mins.

Now if I DO get it on 10/14 as planned, I'll be strolling into the apple store Iphone 4S in hand in front of everyone on line and getting a nice brand new bumper to go along with it.

I've done several pre-orders with Verizon. That is very normal. They hit your card when the phone is ready to ship. If there's a problem with the card, that's when you find out, which sucks because that puts you ALL THE WAY BACK in the shipping priority line. However, it IS nice in that they don't hold your card hostage for a week before you actually have your product...
 
I ordered 2 white 16GB from Verizon. My original delivery date was the 14th, but yesterday it was changed to the 21st like everyone else. I called Verizon and the rep said if you ordered your phone within 3 hours from the launch time, you'd get your phone on the 14th.

However, I checked just now and the delivery date is back to the 14th. I suggest everyone calm down and not freak out.

Edit 2: I ordered 2 Black 32gb just after 3am eastern
 
My black 32GB now says 10/21 as well. Has to be a glitch. I can't imagine every single Verizon order has been pushed back. Is there anyone with an order that still says 10/14?
 
Mine is back to the 14th! I ordered at 5:00 P.M. Central time yesterday too.

Btw I ordered 1 16gb white version and 2 16gb black versions
 
So this definitely proves it was just basing the ship date off of current stock. Seems like they have updated it and it's showing the correct date.
 
Mine changed to a ship date of 10/21 and is now back to 10/14. I ordered at 4:45am EST. My order confirmation said my phones would be shipped to arrive by 10/14, not shipped on 10/14, so hopefully that is what will happen.
 
Sounds like a glitch and they fixed it since EVERYONE was freaking out.

Mine switched to 10/21 this morning and now it's back to 10/14, which makes me a very happy panda. (PS I ordered mine at 3:30AM EST on Thursday, 30 minutes after it opened up.)

This is crazy, I cancelled my 16gb order to get the 32gb because they said my 16 would take to the 21st to ship. So I cancelled my order and got the 32gb since I would arrive on the 14th. Sure enough that got pushed back to the 21st. I called. Verizon and they said everyone who preordered was pushed back to the 21st. I just checked again and not it's back to the 14th. This was in a span of 2 minutes after talking with the rep.
 
Mine has a deliver by date of the 21st. I'm not too worried about it, I ordered at about 8pm EST so it's completely understandable. However, for you all who ordered it really early, I do hope that's resolved. That's totally ridiculous.
 
Mine is back too. I ordered 4 minutes early according to my email so really probably about 6 minutes early. 64 black. Mine has changed twice today but its not the 14th again. What a mess.

Chances are those that got the Iphone 4 on release date for verizon won't be able to upgrade to the Iphone 5 on release date.
 
Anyone with Verizon: Are you having any troubles checking the status of your preorder? As in, following the link in the confirmation email and then entering the information?

If not and you haven't been checking using this method, how are you seeing the delivery date in real time (as in, opposed to looking at my delivery date in the email)
 
I ordered the white 16gb and a half an hour ago I checked my order status and it changed from the 14th to the 21st. I just checked and it changed back to the 14th.
 
Ordered a 16GB White iPhone 4S Thursday night at 2:52am. Got my confirmation email at 2:56am saying your iPhone will ship and arrive on 10/14. Also checking the order status website, it displayed expected ship date to be 10/14.

Sometime last night (Friday night), I went to check my order status and it changed to 10/21 as the expected ship date.

Woke up this morning (Saturday) and checked the order status again. It now displays the expected ship date to be 10/14.

Seems like it was a glitch in Verizon's system.
 
back to 10/14 expected ship date for me. Ordered 16gb white and 16gb black on a new family plan.
