But they really can't win in that situation. Everyone on here new the new MBP was coming, so we could either hear continued complaining "where's the announcement, it's been so long?!" or complaining about stock levels and pre-order waiting. It's really a lose lose. I'm just excited mine finally shipped and I'll be able to set it up and play with it over my time off from work.

Not that anyone really cares........ BUT I'm back in the game ^____^
After speaking with another Apple representative last night they advised that the most recent orders seem to be shipping faster (some by up-to a week) and that I would be very unfortunate if the laptop didn't arrive at the earlier end of my expected delivery window... so here's hoping

That's the one I'm waiting on. Unfortunately estimated delivery just got bumped back a day to 12/23 :-(
FWIW it arrived yesterday evening (in London). Coming from a mid 2009 MBP this machine is a thing of beauty - phenomenal design, screen, (noisy but tactile) keyboard and so on. Love it - which is just as well given all that "waiting for skylake", let alone the price of the thing. Have a good festive season everyone!
It looks like my computer will arrive at the apple store for pickup tomorrow, and i will be able to get it on friday! its been a long time to wait, but its almost over.
