As far as my understanding is, PayPal use your PayPal balance first and then access your confirmed bank account/debit/credit card for anything beyond that (or straight away if the PayPal account balance is empty).

My order is to be paid for using "cash" and not through PayPal financing. Previously, and for every transaction I've ever completed through PayPal they simply take the money from my confirmed bank account or debit card. This has been seamless for years with purchases made across a variety of websites, including Apple who I bought an Apple Watch Series 2 from only 6 weeks ago. This is the first time I've encountered such an issue :(

PayPal have escalated the issue and are going to get back to me in the next hour.
Well keep us in the loop. Finger crossed for you. Don't wanna leave a soldier behind

Should it really take 8-9 days for the last 2 steps? I guess I'm lucky my card had the pending charge on Wednesday and was PFS this morning, but was hoping to have it next Friday.
from what i have been told, it ususally takes around 24 hours to ship once it has gone to p4s

Some people went from charge to PFS in a few hours. Others waited 4 days. Some went from PFS to actually shipped in a day, others 3 or 4 days. And shipping can take up to a week to reach you from China. It varies widely from person to person.

Hmm, that's a bummer.

Ordered a 13" touch bar model with 16gb ram on Dec 1 and finally went P4S this morning. Hoping it makes it before Christmas!

Thanks ;)

Got a Shipment notification this morning with estimated delivery of December 22.

I have no idea of how it will be traveling though.
Being part of the people who waited a few weeks before ordering, it feels funny trying to micro-track the delivery.
I mean that's what all the hard-core early adapters do, who ordered minutes after the keynote, but us? lazy-adapters ;)

Having said this, I saw there's a departure scan from Shangai, which is the latest UPS tracking line.
And now I will stop checking this until the package arrives.
Really. Yes Really :D

You have more restraint than I do. I even have an app on my iPhone and Mac that tracks shipments. It's cool cus it shows the path on a map!
[doublepost=1481909098][/doublepost]I got this message this morning

The package will be forwarded to a UPS facility in the destination city.: Anchorage, AK, United States
Status updated Yesterday

I called UPS and they said it was just transferring locations to be sent to the destination city. It's not clear language IMO. The rep said it got through customs. Hopefully the rep I spoke with knows what they are talking about, and it's not going to be shipped to somewhere in Anchorage.

That's pretty quick. Mine was PFS today and ordered 11/17. I wonder how they queue these up.

It might come down to availability of parts and thus the unique BTO chosen.

It hasn't seemed quick haha. I've refreshed my order status screen more times than I would care to count. My delivery window has been 12-22 / 12/29 since I ordered though.

My last Apple laptop was a white polycarbonate MacBook, so this is going to be a whole new experience.

13' MBP's are faster to ship right now. It's the 15' models that have had a delay, possibly because of the AMD graphics cards, and have also been having some production issues, that are hopefully resolved now.

Unfortunately everything has gone quite on both PayPal and Apples front, neither have been able to explain what the problem is or help resolve the issue and process my order... I guess I won't be getting a new tMBP after all :(

to be honest i would recommend calling some stores to see if they have availability, they dont have the 2.7/1tb/460 as an in store model, but they do have the 2.9/1tb/460

I would call one of them and ask to be escalated to someone higher, and tell them you just want to give them money for a product/use their service. Maybe threaten PayPal that you will cancel your account unless the issue is resolved. Someone is messing up and you have yet to talk to someone seasoned enough to see where the problem is.

Or cancel the order and order it again but not through PayPal. Why did you use it in the first place?

Unfortunately it's now midnight so both are closed, I can try again in the morning but don't know when Apple will cancel the order for nonpayment (7 days is tomorrow).

Simply because I didn't have my debit card to hand when I decided to place the order, if I had known such an issue would arise I would have just completed the transaction directly with my card :(

I was hoping to have the laptop this side of the New Year as I was wanting to take it with me when I go traveling for three months at the start of next year. I might be better just picking up an alternative that's available to ship next week.

That's really lame. I'm sorry. I know exactly how you feel. I bought my machine for travel too (but only three weeks rather than three months). Did you order a very particular BTO? Maybe you can find one at an Apple Store around you.

I wouldn't say it's overly specialised, I'd went for the 2.7/1TB/460 but it's unlikely to be off-the-shelf stock :(

Checking won't hurt. I've heard of some people getting BTOish machines from an Apple Store.

The Apple website is showing neither of the base 15" in stock in any of the Apple stores on the list (next stock from 11th Jan), I could always try on the off chance but I'd venture if they don't stock the base they won't have any other variation.

Hopefully I'll wake up to find the magic elves over at Apple or PayPal have managed to resolve the issue and process the payment, I've already lost a week on my order through this :(

Many stores have limited supplies of the 2.9/1TB/460, although it doesn't show up on the site. The website also doesn't do a good job of estimating when they will have stock: the stores get stock frequently and the site will show if it's in stock, but if it's not in stock the date it shows may not be correct.

http://www.istocknow.com/live/ does a good job of showing what's in stock at different sites (and the base is in stock at mine). You would need to go to the store to find out if the better one is in stock. (You can try calling, but when you call you may be routed to a call center instead of the store, and the call center won't know what's in stock.)

PFS this morning, ordered November 14 (2.7/1Tb/460). Come on Santa!
Shipped! Express DHL, estimated delivery 28th!?!!

I don't believe that for a second - it has already reached Eindhoven.

Oops - misread tracking details. Only shipment information has been received in Eindhoven. Boo!
