Delivery date moved!! Beyond PO'd!!

So I finally got my order in tonight around 10pm EST. The order status CLEARLY said delivery by June 24th. I even logged out and back into the order status page and it still said the 24th. I finally received my email confirmation at 3am and now it says delivery on July 2nd. I logged into the order status system, and it says the 2nd too. Needless to say I am pissed off beyond reason!!
Anyone else getting this crap?
I'm afraid it is probably says "ships by July 2nd" then later says "delivers by July 6-8". They are only using standard shipping on the non-preorder orders.
The whole thing kinda stinks but you gotta look at the good side. You won't have to deal with the mayhem that is going to ensue on June 24th when 2 million idiots try to use three different browsers to activate their new phones and crash the crap out of the systems again.
We are Apple fanatics....we never learn.

Well if its any consolation i ordered mine yesterday afternoon sometime, and its confirmed for the 24th, went through first time!
I completely understand your frustration. I would be frustrated as well, especially with your time investment and the fact that it is all very hit-and-miss...some people could get through and some people couldn't.
There will be at least one xtra iPhone 4 at the Jacksonville Apple store as I ordered mine thru ATT and it will be here the 24th according to the status and I also reserved one at the Apple store as a back up.

I also started trying to order online at 4:00 am Eastern. I wised up at 1:00 pm and went to an ATT store where the pre-order took all of 30 minutes which included 15 minutes of waiting.

The same happened to me when I ordered my iPad so I rang them to ask why. Turned out it was because I had also ordered a camera adaptor which was not in stock and was delaying the whole delivery. I cancelled the adaptor and the iPad duly arrived the day before launch date.
Have you also ordered accessories/extras with the order?
Ah, you didn't say that before. In that case, yes, the system screwed you over. I got lucky and within 6 hours of trying from 3am onward I was able to get through. It especially sucks that there were plenty of people that woke up at 8am and were immediately able to get there iPhone's ordered on the first try.

Getting this upset that your ship date moved a week is beyond 'passionate' and nearing insanity. Everyone had issues yesterday. I tried to upgrade my phone since 8AM. Tried on and off during and between classes. Finally got through around 5PM. Others got through on their first try. Others are in your boat.
It was absolutely a grab bag - nobody was guaranteed to get a phone on a particular date, but if you were lucky enough to get through the battered system you got it June 24 without having to wait in line (which I've done before, not doing again).
I'd imagine that if you were setting up a new account, your blame should be with ATT and not Apple. Apple has no say in setting up an account, just making the phone and the OS and linking their site to ATT's to do the setup.
Get some sleep, and then get some sun. It isn't worth getting worked up over. You can go play with one at the apple store every day until yours comes.
I asked for others who had a similar experience to post theirs, not for a bunch of trolls to flame me for my opinion on the situation. Since the thread can't be used for it's original purpose it should be closed.
A majority of the posts made in this "iPhone" category the past few days show trends of unhealthy obsession. I...agree. They'll go away after they get their iPhone, but until then it'll be the same thing over and over. Lots of "What and when" questions and lots of "Apple/AT&T owes me..." statements.
Im just going with the flow on this whole delivery thing. My blood pressure took enough, getting in yesterday AM, and I just dont want to think about it anymore.

Never once did I say that "AT&T/Apple" owe me anything. I merely stated my displeasure at the change of my delivery date.

Yea, ahh really it's a phone! seriously people need to get a grip. You chose to purchase the most popular device released in the last 10yrs and are getting all jacked over a 1 week wait. I ordered mine at 6 ish from the at&t store, checked email this am and says I'll have it by the 28th at the latest. OMG my world is gonna end.

I have an idea, let's all get angry about something that no one could have anticipated, like half the population of the country attempting to order something all at the same time and the subsequent inability of the infrastructure to fulfill all those orders in a timely manner. IT'S NOT FAIR!
