Hey maybe someone could offer me some advice.

I ordered a 42 mm SS Classic Buckle and the delivery date is 4/24-5/8. I live on a college campus, so for mail we have unit boxes. I talked to an apple rep online and they said they could send it there because it is technically a post office where people can sign for the package and is not just a PO Box. So I went ahead and got it sent to there.

The only problem is that if it does deliver on the 24th, I hope that it wouldn't be before 5 pm cause that's when the post office closes here. UPS wouldn't deliver it on a Saturday would they? Cause again the post office would be closed.

Best case would be early delivery on the 24th, or possibly even the 27th. But it's hard to tell. I don't want the UPS to show up and not be able to deliver the package because no one is available to claim it (even if I pre-sign).

I might have to just send it home and then have my mom deliever it to me, but that would take even longer. Should I risk it then guys? I really would love my device on the 24th. But delivering it at home may be the safer bet.

I might just track it 24/7 and then just wait outside my college for when the UPS truck comes haha.

Hey, I had a similar situation when I lived on campus a couple years ago. I found that generally, the packages were delivered before closing time (*you don't have to go home but you can't stay here!*).. I digress, if you're really worried, maybe order something small that you need off of amazon prime and see how it works out. Also, as some have suggested, you should be able to re route to a UPS center and go pick it up.

Could you pick it up at the local UPS facility, or a UPS store?

That is also something I am wondering. There is a UPS store 10 minutes way, I'm wondering if they would let me.

Anyways, a majority of replies I've received indicate that packages at college campuses are typically delivered at the same time, therefore I should be fine. That seems to make sense. And if that's not the case, I will go ahead and try to go to the UPS store and see if I can personally pick it up.

Thanks for your feedback guys! I really appreciate it! :)

Does ups or fedex in China work over the weekends

I'm sure they do- They gotta make that $5!

FWIW: I was told WATCH is shipping FedEx

I spoke to a Rep at the Apple Store early Friday (4/17). He told me that Apple is shipping the WATCH using FedEx. That may or may not be accurate; I'm just relating what I was told. Time will tell.

I really hope that said Apple Rep is wrong (Which they are well over majority of the time) as UPS has far greater pick-up options than FedEx. They also don't have a estimated arrival time as UPS does so if it is indeed FedEx, I'll be waiting at home all day for my Watch to arrive.

I actually like FedEx better, they have the same pickup options for us, and they deliver with better results. (And don't through packages at our door and leave.....grrrrrrrr!)

It's the opposite for me. My local UPS driver is awesome as to my FedEx driver who likes to throw packages and/or take them to the wrong address forcing me to go to my neighbors and ask for my package that was mis-delivered.

Only downside for me in terms of UPS is they get to me around 4PM but that shouldn't be an issue as I'm picking my Watch up as soon as the doors open at the pick-up facility.

I have also had issues where the local UPS sort hub will call me and tell me there was an issue with my package and my options where to have it sent back, or picked up. They would not give me the problem until after I signed for it. Two times they told me the problems where "mismatched belt switch" or something strange like that. Very frustrating when the facility is 20 minutes away.

Woke up this morning to no emails \ credit card charges \ status changes.
Sad day :(

It's been said many times on this forum that status will not change till next Tuesday or Wednesday, based on past preorder experiences.

Its also been said that statuses will change today. Or statuses would've been changed two days ago. These forums have also said Apple is developing a self driving minivan...
Its all speculation. I was just stating facts.

Easy...

Nobody is coming down on you.

It's just that those of us that have preordered new release product over the years have gone through this process enough times that we know the drill.

Obviously those who told you status would change yesterday or today were wrong.

Now trust those of us that are telling you from experience...

Status doesn't change until the week of delivery.

Could it be Monday? Maybe. Most definitely Tuesday or Wednesday.

You will see the forum filled with posts about -- as it always has been -- as it always will be.

Assuming they are shipping preorders from China, shouldn't we expect an update in the next day or so if we were going to get ours on the 24th?

Well I hope so anyway! I check my order several times a day, it's getting a bit sad.

My personal past experience was that my products went to "Preparing for Shipment" the Saturday before a Friday launch, so I'm still holding out to see something today.

You would be surprised how fast from China departure to your doorstep the product travels.

You get indication on a Tuesday/Wednesday and it's at your door Friday.

There is a very good chance of a status change Monday.

...but it's very fast.
