SIM card installed for the big 4 carriers when ordered from Apple? Or from the carriers direct? As direct from Apple, in the UK they're not pre-installed. If the U.S. Is different, then I stand corrected.

I already acknowledged I was wrong about Apple SIM.

----------

As I asked in previous post, in the boxes when ordering from Apple? Or the Carrier? If the latter, then obviously that's irrelevant.

Yes, ordering from Apple, carrier SIMs are prepackaged. (At least the 4 major carriers)

Both from Apple and Carrier stores, if they are from the big four carriers, the SIM is already installed with the SIM card number printed on the outside of the box for activation. (Labeled on iPhone boxes as ICC ID#). You can still switch out the SIM if you unlock the phone like normal- as long as you fulfill your contract agreement. Verizon iPhones come unlocked out of the box regardless of your contract.

Prepaid carrier iPhones have their SIM cards taped on top similar to UK iPhones

Fair enough. Well that explains it.

Lots of UPS and FDX flights leaving Shanghai today (Saturday) so it certainly seems someone is working.

iPhones do not ship with Apple SIMs, at least here in the U.S.

So there are 72 different iPhones 6/6+ (considering the 4 different carrier SIM Cards)

Again, my opinion putting a different band on a watch is similar to putting a different carrier SIM in a phone...

a SIM card does not add additional "Models" to the iPhone line.

You and I will definitely disagree about the last part. You can not possibly liken SIM cards to Watch Bands.

I'm expecting once they hit the US we will start to be charged and then shipped directly to customers.

Still, at least I can admit to being wrong. Will we see Goobertron return to this thread after it being proved, from UPS themselves, that they deliver on Saturdays

Indeed. As I suspected, it's looking like they're going to warehouses in each country, then being shipped to customer from there.

Sounds like a more efficient way of shipping them, IMO. Instead of shipping millions of watches all from one factory and one FedEX/UPS port, they disperse them around the world I guess not to clog up shipping channels.

monday and tuesday well see updates.

Late tomorrow or early monday, IMO

I don't really get the supposed stock issues now I have had time to think.

Apple announced the watch 6 MONTHS ago. While I doubt they started production for the general population then, I find it hard to believe that they only just started producing apple watched from the 10th as some people are suggesting on this thread.

Surely, they would have started production months ago.

I believe the 4/24-5/8 range is probably a Tim Cook implementation to make sure he is covering apple, but I doubt they are low on stock by any means.

This means flights you guys are seeing leaving from Shanghai by UPS could likely be carrying watches, but i highly doubt that is the first ever batch apple have ever had made of them.

Correct, but they are definitely ramping up production and shipping. Below is current flight aware data from FedEX and UPS Planes. They have hundreds of planes, and most of the big ones are around China.

You’re not alone, so far I believe everyone is still "processing"

If this helps soothe anyone -- my new rMacbook was ordered on the 10th of April (with “Delivers: Apr 16 - Apr 20”), received shipping notification this past Saturday over-night (while I was sleeping), and it was delivered on the 15th! “Hope springs eternal!"

Don't these planes fly back and forth all the time?

Oh yes, but that amount of large planes, all at the same time, constantly going back and forth between Alaska and China? Seems like an Apple launch is imminent :p

You do know a hell of a lot of stuff comes from China every day even when there isn't an Apple launch don't you?

You can't tell anything from that.

Saw some posts about Pennsylvania Warehouses. If that's true, that's pretty awesome cause I live in Pennsylvania. Ideally I'd get it on the 24th then!

Good luck everyone, can't wait for our orders to be processed :D
