Will Europe shipments be delivered directly from China or from the US?

Probably the same ting as the US, so shipped to places around Europe and shipped to customers from there. LOL there are not too many flights going from China to Europe. Maybe they use different carriers?

Just curious... do you spend time looking at the number of planes going back and forth from China at the times an Apple launch is not imminent?

Yes, do you? ;)

The UK use UKMAIL. not sure elsewhere in Europe.

Yeah, but that's just the delivery company inside your country who has a contract with apple. I mean how do they ship to europe before it arrives to your country. Probably UPS, Fedex or TNT from China.

I had an unfortunate situation on Monday where I was mugged and they took my wallet, including the card I used to pay for my watch. Wasn't until I called the bank when I realised that Apple will charge that card and will decline.

I called Customer Services from the hospital quite stressed and explained the situation and the advisor said that I would have to cancel the order and reorder and go to back of the queue. I could have cried at this point. I asked to speak to someone else for clarification and he said they are only going to tell you the same thing.
Eventually I was transferred to the Service Desk and they said to leave as is and when they come for payment it will decline and I can then phone with new card details and will still keep my place in the queue.

I called the next day and spoke to 2 other people and they confirmed what Service Desk said. PHEW!!
Now I am constantly checking emails and Apple Store App waiting for the decline.

Does anyone know when they will start charging cards?

WOW! You got mugged and in the hospital and all you could think about was a watch. ##. I had to change my card due to it being compromised with charges I did not make and the bank cancelled the card. Called apple and they changed the card to my wife's card with no problem. As long as your order is still in processing you can update addresses and billing info.

They could also be using a freight company like Atlas, Cathay Pacific Cargo, etc to get large amounts from China to the U.S. or Europe.

Lets all call :apple: and demand the flight number :p:rolleyes::rolleyes::p im so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Jumps off the roof before apple watch arrives*

damn it

Most of the stuff I've gotten from a Apple online has been delivered by UPS and I've lived in Ireland and the UK in the past 11 years I've been buying Apple products.

I tried to change the card but they would'nt allow it. They said that I have to wait for the original to decline and add a new card for authorisation. This was in the UK. It is frustrating constantly checking my emails and order status.
Just hope that when I spoke to the advisors and they said that I would keep my place in the line is true.

Oh yes, but that amount of large planes, all at the same time, constantly going back and forth between Alaska and China? Seems like an Apple launch is imminent :p

Really hope I'm wrong but look at it objectively, the Apple watch launch is like 2-3 million units right? The iPhone 6 in comparison was 10 million units the first weekend and 21 million after 2 weeks.

Bottom line is they just don't need nearly as many planes to deliver the watch then they did the phone, will it really be that noticeable?

Launch Day Deliveries

Any way we can get a running survey of people who are in the initial delivery window that actually receive the device on launch day as opposed to some point in the two weeks that follow?

Never. Always get a longer window, never not received it on time (due to apple or a courier's fault).

Edit: I misread your message cause I've been awake for so long. Lol. I am hopeful we will get them on the 24th.

The Apple Store near me has these appointments starting at 10am on Friday. I found it interesting.

Agreed and it's the part that says 'bring your Apple watch'. If Apple was sure most people were unlikely to get their watches on the 24th, then they wouldn't schedule these workshops right. Plus there's 2 different ones - 'Apple Watch basics' and 'Stay in touch with Apple Watch'.

The 10am part is interesting - deliveries on 23rd?

Then there's one really close by in a neighboring state that says 4/24 10 am so. I am so stoked :p
