just saying, there will 100% be some watches shipping out in Australia for friday delivery as the Appl Watch Basics classes are available on the 24th. The wouldn't hold classes then if at least some people didn't get their watches then. I reckon we start seeing charges tonight or later this arvo

Watches come to the U.S. From China and then are shipped to our homes and we only get access to the tracking info in that last leg of their trip. From what I have heard they come to the U.S. In large pallets

this is different from the iphone orders then. iphone orders you get to track the shipment the minute it gets processed in china en route to the US. so you're saying that the apple watches only gets order tracking once they're shipping from US warehouses to homes only?

Getting worried here. Ordered two watches, Sport 42mm blue and green bands. Both hit my bank yesterday and processing charges and both changed from "processing" to "preparing for shipment". However tonight one of the charges is no longer pending on my account. I'm going crazy thinking my stupid bank thought the charges were duplicates and reversed a charge. I'm going to go out of my mind if one of my watches doesn't make it on time!

I have UPS my choice premium and in the evening a label showed up too for one of the 2 I have ordered, the 38mm SS Milanese band , the label show shipping from Apple TN and ship date is showing ready for pickup on 23rd to be delivered end of day 24th, it's super saver overnight. Label showed by today but clearly seems will be picked up by UPS on the 23rd.
All will probably see shipped status tomorrow or even Thu once picked up by UPS I think for the watches that are shipped.
The other watch is the 42mm SS BSB, no charge no label and still processing.

The one you are thinking of is in Elk Grove. That is a repair, return and training center. Not a distribution facility for Apple products.

Thanks for the info. I realized the facility in West Sac is similar to the one in SF's Mission district where folks go to pick up packages after missed delivery attempts and such.

Check your order status through Apple. My Apple Pay failed yesterday and it had an alert so that I could just put in my card number. If a charge failed then Apple will more than likely have some type of alert on your order status page.

The few that have gotten access to their shipping labels have it coming from a location within the U.S. Apple probably is bringing palettes of watches from China to us and then shipping them to the areas closest to their facility hence some areas not being able to get to their shipping label

It's the best confirmation any of us can have at this point. If it is already in the U.S. which it is, and it is shipping overnight you are most likely 100% getting it on Friday! Where do you live? What watch model?

I got billed and preparing for shipment yesterday around 5pm, i saw it in reference today because i wasnt putting the correct date in the ups site

i put my billing phone number, 10 digits in the reference, then change the date manually to 24 in the date range box (the latest), and thats it

i have another watch for my wife that hasnt changed from processing, that doesnt show up so i guess its only for the "preparing for shipment" ones

Based on apples trend in the last couple days I believe so. Around 1-3 PST there has been a lot of movement each day. I would expect more people to be preparing for shipment tomorrow as well as more shipping labels being created for people nearer to some of the newly supplied apple facilities


Also, why haven't we seen anything that has to do with fedex. Every launch Apple has used both fedex and ups.

I can't get anything to show up tracking by reference. I'm in Washington state. Ordered 12:02 got my confirmation email 12:03. My card charged was yesterday. Status shows prepared for shipment.

Well, this is a smaller launch then an iPhone launch, and Apple hasn't sent out any shipping notifications yet, so we can't be sure none are fedex yet, but on;y ups people have been able to find so far.
