Calling regular iPhone & iPad pre-orderers :)
What day would you guys expect to see our order statuses change from processing to 'delivered by !24th!(hopefully)'? and will tracking then be available?

:apple:

First appointment here in Portland at the Pioneer Place Apple Store is 10 A.M. on the 24th. All subsequent sessions for that day are surprisingly filled.

My local Apple Store only has Watch appointments on the weekend and all week after. I'll be busy this weekend so I went with a Tuesday appointment. I will more than likely know everything about the watch by then but should be cool to interact with other  Watch owners as I don't know a single person who's getting it the first week.

Biggest store in Dallas/Fort Worth isn't offering the Watch tutorials but one of the smaller (more affluent) suburbs is. Have them for noon in Southlake TX

I've been checking for the classes (obsessively) for the past two days. Southlake just popped up this afternoon and I don't see one for April 24th, just the 29th, so it must have filled up very quickly, and there are no spots available for "Stay in Touch with Apple Watch" at all. In fact, until this afternoon the only stores that had classes in Texas were the San Antonio stores. So they either filled the classes by offering them to try-on appointments or still have yet to schedule them.

That's everywhere. They only book like three days into the future.

Nearest store for me is an hour away in Charlotte and it is offering 1 slot for the morning, afternoon and evening on the 24th. Augusta has times starting on Saturday so either Friday is filled or they didn't offer anything.

My closest store had nothing, another one about 25 minutes away only had one on the 29th. -__-

Southlake has a "Stay in Touch with  Watch on 4/24@5pm.

I'm convinced we'll see deliveries on 24th now.

This is the workshops at my local store and that's all they have every day until Tuesday.

Rang and spoke to apple about 24 th delivery as I go on holiday 29th. I asked if I could change my delivery date from 24/4-8/5 to around the 14th may when I return. I was surprised to hear that they wouldn't and suggested that after one failed delivery if I checked online I could direct package to another address but only after first failed delivery. When he said that I said come Monday I might actually cancel if status doesn't change and just Wait months, he replied I wouldn't do that as he would be surprised if it was updated by Monday. He said they are aiming for all deliveries to be on time on Friday but apple have given the 2 week gap not because of supply but because of the logistics and carriers. Now does any one know what the demand on carriers was for iPhone 6 ? We're more sold online than the reported 2 million watches ? Also before anyone says it YES newbie to this site but it doesn't mean my input is worthless. Many thanks

You do have a point, the rep I spoke to said it will most likely be the 24th delivery as well.

Basing it on iPhone 6 launch is a bit of a stretch, as it's not the same thing. No one knows sales figures, they're all pretty much guesses and estimates. Apple have not released any figures yet.

I don't trust the reps, they're giving conflicting and misleading information all the time.

Carriers and logistics isnt the reason for the 2 week gap. At this point apple and the carriers know how to get the deliveries done with no problem. They've been doing it since 07. Supply makes much more sense. I just think apple isn't ready for this launch date. i think they are scrambling aroind big time. I really hope all of us with the 24-8th dates get our watches Friday. But I am preparing myself to be disappointed. Everything with this launch is odd. Something just isn't right. The big thing for me was replacing the verbage on the website with "coming soon". That should be a HUGE clue to everyone that something big is wrong. We will see this week. But if my status hasn't changed by Wednesday night (and I don't think it'll change any sooner even if all is good) Im gonna be really disappointed. If I had to guess I'm gonna say that at least half the people with first wave dates don't see their watches on Friday. i hope that's not the case. But as of yet, there are more negative reasons then positive.

The chat rep told me that deliveries at this point are unknown but they will start 4/24 going in the order when the order was placed.

No. The reason the date was changed was because as of 1:00am PST on April 10th NO apple watch could be bought for release on April 24th. Apple did not want to confuse customers coming to the website for the first time to order.

Also, the 2 week delay between preorder and shipping is for manufacturing. They have 38 possible combinations and they have ZERO sales data on any of this. They needed some time to gauge the pre-orders. They knew what they could manufacture in 2 days, 5 days, 10 days, 14 days, etc.. hence the "shipping in 4-6 weeks" pre-orders, and "shipping in June" pre orders.

My store in White Plains, NY has Apple Watch basics starting at 10am. Not that it matters to me, I'm in the 4-6 week range.

That's my store too. I went in on Thursday morning to pickup something for work and the watch table was completely empty. I was able to spend some quality time with the demo models. I'm in the 4/24 batch so I hope I get it on Friday.

Hoping I get mine on Friday. I ordered right when it went live on the 10th, and my delivery date just says 4/24 - 5/8. Guess we'll see.
