Just received an email from Apple

Your Apple Watch will be delivered between April 24th and May 8th. When your order ships, we'll send you an email with a specific delivery date and tracking information.

Watch is still processing and no charge yet, 42mm Sport Space Grey with Black Band.

Same principal for fedex as well. This also worked for the iPhone 6 launch.

Just did this, I am having it delivered to a commercial address, and I have a tracking number.

42mm Black Sport ordered at 3:01 order status still at preparing for shipping

10 digit number? As in, add a "1" before it? If so, I tried that and did everything else and I'm still getting "UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again."

I'm in Denver and have tried the UPS site with no success. Most of my packages have come from FedEx in the past though.

Now I'm reading that boutique stores will have in store stock on Friday.

https://www.macrumors.com/2015/04/22/apple-watch-available-friday-at-select-stores/

So this is what we know:

Millions of apple supporters stayed up late to order the watch.
Some are getting it friday and some aren't with the 4/24-5/8 date.
Some people who had delivery dates in June will get their on Friday
High end botiques will have them Friday
Apple stores will not
Celebs that don't even know what the Apple watch is have already gotten theirs

Yup ... They sure pooched this one :-/

Would we have been more happy with a delayed launch than this? This hasn't been a very easy or successful debut. I don't and probably never will understand why Apple did not see this coming. Maybe they did. I dunno. I am still stuck in "Preparing to ship" and knock on wood have not received an email of death. I really hope those of you that did receive your watches on Friday. Fingers crossed for you.....and toes lol

This is very speculative. It's still pre-launch. What if all the 4/24-5/8 orders were filled on the 24th as well as some mid to late May and June orders. I'd say that would be one of the most successful launches ever. We still have NO IDEA what will happen on Friday. If you've gotten anything from this thread it should be that while some are fairly certain to get theirs on the 24th (UPS My Choice), other than that we've got nothing but theories, wild speculation, and conflicting stories from so called "reps" that know about as much (if not less) than we do.

Ah, just checking because it wouldn't work the other way without it, either. I thought it might help, but I dunno. Nothing is coming up this way regardless.

It didn't work for me neither. Granted I just got "Preparing for shipment" yesterday at 6:17PM EST.

I think we'll be okay. Most of my Apple products shipped via pre-order come through Fedex as well. As long as we have preparing for shipment and no EOD, then, well, I think we have a good chance for a Friday delivery.

42m silver sports, with blue band.

I'm in Melbourne, Australia

Seems like international orders are showing up in the support profile, hopefully watches in the US start to show up once they're scanned individually into the shipping carrier networks and the S/N is assigned to an individual user. I have a feeling my UPS Tracking status of "Order Processed: Ready for UPS" means it's sitting on a pallet right now with hundreds of other watches.

Watch showed up in my support profile.

42mm SS Classic Band

Still listed as Preparing for Shipment

Fixed and agreed.

Seems like the only ones this work for are those that have Mt Juliet, TN as the UPS hub.

Since you're in Dallas, you may be coming from a different center (or via FedEx).

I'm in Dallas and mine is coming from the Mt Juliet TN UPS hub

I cannot wait to see these forums in September-October, when everyone finally has their watch. We'll all have a good laugh together when we realize how NOT big of a deal this actually was.

If we take a step back and actually observe what these 300+ forum pages are all about, we can observe that all of us did not pay any extra money to pre order these devices exclusively, or get them on the day guaranteed. We just set an alarm and got up a little bit earlier than usual to click purchase.

Imagine having to roll out a new product for the first time since the father of the wealthiest company in the world passed away. By the time the next one is released, they'll have it much more solid. I know we all want what we paid for ASAP, because it's without a doubt the most advanced pieces of artistry and affordable, wearable, technology that our modern society has seen to date. If they were shipping out 2,000,000 pre-ordered chocolate bars and they were delayed on them, I would be a bit confused. But we're talking about mass producing, packaging, personalizing, and shipping thousands, if not millions of mini computers.

We should be thankful that there are people out there intelligent and willing enough to create such devices, and provide them to the millions of us who will gladly throw our money at them, instead of being nervous because we could potentially get it a little later than promised. Patience. Patience. Show some respect for this company, they're working their a**es off and have been for 3 years on this revolutionary wearable that will throw android into the dirt.

Peace, Love, :apple:

Very well said.

Looking back on the iPhone 6/Plus launch, the exact same thing occurred to me. I was mad that I was receiving it only ONE WEEK later than the launch date. Now that I have it 7 months later, I have no idea why I was so strung up on getting it on launch. It's hard to think about it now, but down the road, like you said, it won't matter and we'll all have a good laugh.

All those getting theirs in support where are you from? I have yet to see anyone in the US have this happen.

Delivery Dates 4/24-5/8

I just got the email from apple stating that my watch will arrive between 4/24-5/8. I'm pretty sure this means that I won't be getting my watch on the 24th. My wife's sport is in preparing for shipment. Annoying.

I'm not trying to suggest that everyone who's complaining about it is wrong for doing so, I'm just saying that within this crazy forum if you take a step back and actually realize what everyone is worrying about, you can see how small of an issue this actually is.

I personally know more people who don't even want an Apple Watch than people who are worried about it getting shipped later. But hey we'll just have to wait it out together! Life happens!
