This was gone over several pages back, but whats happening when you ask them is that they see 24 hour time, so to them 12:09:19 looks like 00:09:19 and for some reason they never read them right. So your exact order time was more than likely 2:09:19 CST. You're fine for the 2:09 slot

Well i was just told by a representative that my order didn't process until 00:31:13....even though i placed my order 5 minutes or so after 3am EST...

No ****ing charge.

No ****ing status change.

No ****ing watch.

I've just been into the Apple Store and really kicked off at the imbeciles in there. No one was taking me seriously so I started scratching all the ****ing MacBook screens with my ****ing Swiss Army knife.

The ****ers soon took notice and called security.

Luckily I'm a karate blue belt and kicked the guys arse. He will be spending the night in hospital.

Tried to snatch a space grey from someone doing a try on, but was rugby tackled by the other guard.

Eventually had to run off after I knocked the leg from out of under the table and all of the Ipads off the tables onto the floor.

Must've been 8 or 9 iPads completely mullered.

After all that still no ****ing apple watch.

WORST LAUNCH EVER!!!!

Took a pic just before running off. That'll teach the bastards!!

^This was today. Status just changed to shipped, eta tomorrow by end of day. Changed to pick up from local UPS customer center which opens at 8:30am. Hopefully I'll be :apple:watched by 8:31!

Poor execution. You should have made sure to grab the new Macbook before you ran out. That will show them for only having display models available 8 weeks after the launch date.

UPS is nice like that. Fedex requires at least one delivery attempt. So it would be the next day for fedex.

I'd revise that to read "... You'll be an adult, my child!"

Besides useful updates, this thread helps illustrates (through the behavior of a few) how *not* to act when faced with a simple disappointment.

I'm not here to educate anybody. It's your job to learn; it's not my job to teach. Isn't that why we are all here— To learn something we don't know about this ordering process?

Others have stated how they feel about the process with "F U Apple!!!!" and "This is such total BS!!!!" and "Screw you, Apple!!!!!!!"

Some have also shared what they've learned: "He got his before j got mine yet I ordered earlier!!!! I don't understand!!!!"

Am I not allowed to share how I feel about it and what I have learned?
 
It's OK to have a tantrum. I'm just trying to figure out if there's a specific rhyme or reason to this beyond time of ordering. The band, the size, the zip code.

Tantrums aside, those other variables are indeed interesting.

The size appears to have a good deal to do with it. 42's are by far the biggest sellers. 38's are showing earlier delivery dates.

The bands appeared from the very beginning to be a determining factor of which would ship earlier since some were not available from the start.

Zip codes.... While they might cause a few hours more shipping time, I've never noticed them being a significant factor.

Method of ordering is indeed significant. iPhone with the Apple Store App. is *always* the fastest. Internet orders lag and the online store has been known to stall or collapse under the strain of pre-orders.

Is that based on lag time on the user end or on Apple's end? I.e., if two customers had confirmation emails for the same model, at the same time, would the app order ship before an online order?

4/27 09:16 PM - Shipped for 4/28 delivery

I dont really mind receiving the items early or not. Im more worried about the battery drains on the phone and black sports bands wearing out within a day or two. I get the battery draining. Since just by turning on bluetooth alone can decrease the battery life. But idk about bands. Any of you guys have problem with black band so far?

My observances are completely unscientific since I don't have access to all the data. I can only speak from my experience and the shared experiences of others. But from those experiences, it appears that the app orders receive preferential treatment.

Apple Supervisors have confirmed this, FWIW.

So, hedging ny bets, I always use the Apple Store App & fully-charged and updated iPhone.
