This was gone over several pages back, but whats happening when you ask them is that they see 24 hour time, so to them 12:09:19 looks like 00:09:19 and for some reason they never read them right. So your exact order time was more than likely 2:09:19 CST. You're fine for the 2:09 slot

Thanks Johnny-Don. I missed that. I stopped reading for awhile bc I was having multiple dreams about receiving a charge or confirmation email, not even receiving the watch. I hope that is the case. Being hopefully that mine comes in the mail this week. On another note my wife's watch moved from 5/15-28 range to 5/20-28 date range :( I ordered her a 38mm SS WSB.

Now this is an interesting change. Your wife's watch delivery was moved from potentially the earliest date being the 15th— to the 20th.

I have never seen that happen before. Apple always under-promises. Their goal is "Over-delivery/Customer satisfaction."

This would indicate supply constraints. I would suspect the sapphire crystal lense supply, if it were not SS. I cannot guess why they would delay it except— orders exceeding other supplies.

CONGRATULATIONS !!! That moves Sniper and me one step closer.

Do you have a delivery date yet? And I assume it's via UPS?

Sorry took so long to get back to you.
It's coming next day from Pennsylvania I will have it tomorrow.
UPS picked it up at 4:00.

Besides useful updates, this thread helps illustrates (through the behavior of a few) how *not* to act when faced with a simple disappointment.

Still processing. Texas. 42mm SS Mil/Loop. xx:10 order. xx.10 confirmation. EOD. ApplePay/iPhone/App. ❤️ Apple.

Well said. Apple Watch, and everything surrounding it, are a giant first-world problem. That said, there are moments when I check my order status that I find myself getting a little ticked.

We have the exact same order along with the same order time.

my instant chat with apple store helper

I initiated a chat with the Apple store, because I wanted to know when they think they received my order via iPhone app. I thought it was earlier, but the time on record is 3:12a ET. Seeing so many waiting here with earlier times makes me feel a little doomed.

I asked if the model, 42mm SS BCB, was delayed in particular and likely to make the 5/8 date; in other words, is the classic buckle a particular problem. Got name, rank serial, number on that. The 4/24-5/8 ship dates are what they are and the latest available update. I asked, are you shipping every hour of the day or in waves or what. "They are shipping in the order they were placed the moment they become available to ship, meaning it could be anytime." No charge until "prepared for shipment."

I asked how many people an hour were asking him about Watch orders.
"Many people are anxious to receive the watches they order."

To sum up:

Model: 42MM SS Black Classic Buckle
Ordered: 3:12 a.m. April 10
Listed delivery dates: 4/24-5/8
Email of Doom rec'd: April 22
Charged: no
Status: Processing as of April 27, no change

But from those experiences, it appears that the app orders receive preferential treatment. Apple Supervisors have confirmed this, FWIW.

My 4/10 42mm SS Milanese 3:03am EST order, which has been stuck in processing and still uncharged to my card, was ordered using the App.

Yes, I understand that sinking feeling immediately followed by, "Oh poor me. Eat chocolate. Now." #

I've seen :08 and :09's in the States reportedly charging/shipping. If this is truthful reporting, we should see changes around Wednesday, perhaps Thursday— if previously trending patterns hold.

In the meantime, iBooks is featuring a nice little Apple Watch book. It's Free. Since many of us still in this group don't have our watches yet, we can read up on it and be two steps ahead when it arrives. #

They already delivered more then they had expected... Quote from Tim Cook's conference:

"We were able to deliver Apple Watch to more customers over the weekend than we initially expected. I’m generally happy with how we’re moving with the ramp. With any new product, you end up taking more time to ramp. By some time in late June we currently anticipate being in a position that we could begin to sell the Apple Watch in additional countries."

I would interpret "generally happy" as admission that there are issues.

Good idea. One downside for Apple of this waiting is that my "first impressions" of the watch are being formed by negative comments from some prominent journos and podcasters who did get their watches (Laporte et al); the idea that a new Apple product needs a 33-page guide is a bit unprecedented; negative emotions around how the whole thing was handled.

I am sure I'll get over it, and it is indeed a first world problem. One thing that buoyed me was that I did two separate try-ons at an Apple store, which was fun and made me quite excited for the product. I suspect all the negativity will be dissipated once people realize that some of the expectations were not about what the watch is supposed to do and be.

Another plus of not getting it right away is that people won't be bugging me as much to show it off. I know that is a plus to early adopter status for some, but not me.

Yup, couldn't agree more. I wish Tim will explain the "out of order" delivery.

It would be interesting to know what time Apple thinks your order queued. Might be worth the call to CS.

If you don't mind a few more questions, who is your iPhone service provider and were you using WiFi or Cellular service? If WiFi, do you know what your speed was?

I know I'm asking picky questions, but I'm truly interested in your pending status given your order time. ...looking for important variables that could influence future queuing orders.

Thanks in advance.

I want to be optimistic about getting it this week, but the :04s and :05s which are apparently still "stuck" are giving me pause.
