In the late '80's- early '90's, all Apple computers shipped with good-sized manuals (which I read cover-to-cover like a true nerd). Then along came iPod with no manual, which left me lost...until I found one online. I had a shuffle, first.
Then iPhone. No manual. Yikes. I found one online.
I suspect Apple Watch is the same. Find the manual online (if you need such reinforcement, like me) or fly it without a parachute and see how it rolls, like my daughter would.
Thing is, my daughter didn't know iPhone was able to caps lock for about...oh...about 5 years. After I told her how, her text fights with her husband took on "heightened dimensions."
And it is indeed a huge plus not to hear can I try it on? Can I play with it? It saved me from telling them the same thing I do when they ask if they can try riding my Harley. #

Checking flights can be very counter-productive.
Apple's current freighting system is virtually untrackable; they prefer it that way due to security concerns. For example: what "airline" is flying the old Russian carriers?

So I have a co-worker that is waiting on a 42mm SS model as well, with a classic buckle. He called Apple earlier - and oh my - I don't even know if he actually talked to an apple employee or not because she was completely clueless about any questions he had. I thought one of the ones I spoke to last week was bad but sheezeus....Just to highlight:
-The sports are in higher demand because they can use apps that the SS band can't regarding health. He asked her if she meant that because it is lighter, more people might use it for sports more. She said the SS model is "locked down" from using "healthier" apps.
-He asked about people receiving theirs before people that ordered earlier than them. She told him that he should, word for word, "call his bank because they may not be releasing funds if they don't have an apple watch app." Apparently she was dead serious.
-Regarding the previous question, she also stated that sometimes employees at the distribution centers may "randomly skip ahead a few screens when processing orders to help over deliver those that have been under promised."
Yikes. I've known this guy for several years and his credibility is top notch. Likewise, he's not really that witty enough to make that much stuff up. So he either got trolled, which isn't exactly the greatest customer service... or she was truly dead serious... which is even worse than getting trolled.

I called Apple CS last Friday to see if I could add a gift card as payment on my 42/SS/Milanese and the CS Rep said yes, she could do that.
But in order to do so, she'd need to reprocess the order. She went on, "just hang on for a moment while I cancel this current order... You made it on the 10th, correct...?"
I spoke a little too loud & perhaps a bit too sternly "No! Do NOT touch that order. You cancel that order, and I will ..."
I didn't get a chance to finish. "OK, OK ma'am. I didn't touch it. But that's the only way to put the gift card as a payment."
"Never mind. May I please speak with a Supervisor?"
I think she got counseled. And I now have that Super's number in favorites. He works until midnight. Could come in handy...

Yea, I actually meant classic buckle, same one i ordered. I was checking the 42mm models on apple's website to see if they all still quoted June delivery and had modern buckle on the mind.
Never been happier with a wait then for this Watch
its amazing. It truly is. The fact that you can digital crown right into an app is genius. The digital crown is genius. The dictation works 900000x better than trying to dictate on your iphone Siri is amazing to have on your wrist....she does everything and then some.

sorry it took so long. i was at work in maryland we had to close early cuz of these Bmore Riots ***** disgusting and deplorable. However they aint taking my watch!!!!!!!!!
Ill take any questions if yall have any for example i was wondering how much battery life it comes with out of the box cuz i knew i was going to be at work. the answer is 80% after 5 hours of use it was still at 60% for me. I can tell on a full full charge, overnight, 1 day will be no problem.
EDIT--also no lie, the amount of packaging it came in and overall stuff that came in the box, no wonder why it took 9 years to process..

Finally got charged 2:15AM this morning.
Got shipping notification/UPS tracking number around 1:30 this afternoon.
Arranged to pick up at the UPS facility tomorrow as we can't be home all day.

I still find this launch/ship strange. I did receive my shipping notification and now I have my tracking number.
