My Applecare + order says "Dispatched: Automatically registered", but my 42mm Sport with black band still says "Processing Items Delivery: 24/4-8/5 by Standard Shipping".

Also, I still can't view my order using the Apple Store app on my phone.

I haven't been able to since I placed the order, but I presumed that was simply down to traffic, but I see lots of posts from people that can view using the app:

If your AppleCare has been activated this early, I would say that your watch is shipping from china. Applecare normally starts when the item starts moving to cover it in transit.

So since us early orderers "will be happy" and my local  store has Apple Watch Basics workshop appointments starting as early as 10:15AM on launch day that request you bring your iPhone and Watch... Basically I'm going to sleep well tonight.

The Sydney Australia store has a workshop for everything other than the iwatch everyday, EXCEPT the 24 April 2015.

It's not your responsibility until you sign for it via the courier, Apple's corporate insurance covers the transit from China (or anywhere else) to you.

Sorry, but this doesn't mean anything.

Commonwealth Amex here too. Have just been charged for the charging cable (preparing to ship), but nothing for the Watch itself yet. Hopefully something happens soon! (I can't believe I'm this eager for someone to charge something to my card. Haha)

Sorry, do you mean my Applecare + policy start date starts it's journey here?

Apologies if I've misunderstood, but surely the policy will start the day I get my watch and run for 2 years from there?

Yeah, that way if we don't get our phones on launch then we can be happy we at least get to enjoy our extra cables. Preparing for shipment isn't surprising for the cables with the shipping quoted from the beginning is it?

I never said it was not weird that they always had an estimated ship date of the cables to be sooner than any of the watches. Just that they seem to be shipping them now at the promised time. I am certain the people who are manufacturing docks are dancing the happy dance now because they can actually finish their prototype designs with a real cable and be ready sooner. Hoping now that the watches themselves ship at the beginning of the promised time like the cables.

Ahh ok, my 5K CTO iMac was damaged in transit and had Applecare, thats what I was told. Maybe you should call Applecare and call them liars then...

I thought AppleCare + was localised for insurance purposes, therefore it would not cover transit outside of the region you got it. ? When I bought my iPhone 6 in Australia I was told I needed to get AppleCare + in the UK, unlike AppleCare, it's not global.

AppleCare ALWAYS starts before you get the item. That said nothing is normal about this launch, but from my experience thats what happens. Anyone with Applecare on products bought at the time of ordering can confirm this by looking at the date Applecare started and ends and the date they received their order.

It is.

I bought my iPad 3 on launch day when I was working in New York (I live in the UK).

Applecare + had just been launched, so I purchased it and was told it was global cover.

When I dropped/damaged the iPad about 2 weeks after getting back to the UK (it was in a cheap case, while I was waiting for my Otterbox Defender to arrive!), the global cover was confirmed when I had it replaced in my local store.

The bad news is the watches won't be delivered on launch day. The good news is they made the boxes longer to accommodate both the watch and a sub sandwich to help make up for any dissapoontment.

To be honest, I Ordered AppleCare+ on my iPhone6 and it started after I got it lol

I normally only get Applecare on Mac Products but I did get it on my iPhone 6+ due to all the bending post.. and that started the day after I got it

If it was the original transit, then how can you be responsible? It's not your fault a courier damaged it! Any decent lawyer would have a field day.

The courier would be liable, not you. Therefore your AppleCare wouldn't matter.

Don't know quite what to make of this, but the Apple Store London Regent Street (the flagship store in the UK) is advertising that it opens an hour early (9am instead of 10am) on April 24. So far as I can tell, none of the other London stores are doing this. This would be a strange thing to do if (as expected) it has no stock of watch.

Nice! You're actually the second person I've seen with a apple watch charge so I believe this is it. Things are finally moving then.

I don't see any charges on my end though.

So if Australians have a charge now, we should all see movement in the next 24 hours?
