That would make sense. Just strange, since the earliest training I've seen is 10am. Some stores are showing special store hours to open an hour early at 9.

To be fair to the other poster the appointments do say to bring your apple watch and iPhone.

Well this is going to be a fun thread to follow today
If I don't get mine I will be very surprised! I had my choices saved on the APP and went straight to checkout when it was live (app seemed to be live before website too). My confirmation came through at 8:01am. Therefore, if I don't get my two orders delivered on Friday, I doubt anyone will.

I agree that there is no real comparison with cable versus watch production. HOWEVER, if Apple sends out thousands of cables on time but no Watches are delivered on the 24th it will be a HUGE negative story about Apple.
Apple have been fairly silent so I am HOPING they will eventually do a press release about how many are actually delivered on the 24th.

Kinda worried because when I originally ordered at 12:03am, the confirmation email they sent me showed an incorrect billing address (put my first name twice in the first name field and incorrect zip code) I used to work for Apple as an AppleCare Advisor so I knew that the phone lines were open and I sat in the queue for ~30 min. Got paired with an advisor who changed my billing info to the correct stuff and all was well, went to bed. But in my order status on Apple's order tracking page, it still shows that same incorrect billing address.
Even though I got a confirmation email regarding my change of billing info, should I be worried it will not go through? Should I call back? I really want my Watch on the 24th like the rest of you awesome folks on here! I just hate little bugs/uncertainties like that!

Stainless steel 38mm Black sport band (I'm a dude with small wrists and Im happy with 38mm)
Ordered 12:03 Mountain time (Arizona)
Bank of America Credit Card (Yeah yeah I know I'm putting myself in debt, its just that worth it, lol).

Just hope most are having fun opposed to just being stressed and obsessed. It seems some convince themselves of certain things based solely off speculation.
Honestly tracking and reports aside, I don't think we have anything to worry about. I'm optimistic about launch day. I'm confirmed 12:02PT, but I think more will get theirs on Friday than expect it.
I'm actually having fun now. I do think I will get my watch on the 24th, but I am enjoying this forum.
All the products come from the same factory. It doesn't matter where in the world you are, there is still potentially people before you. Likely thousands.
We had a hunch on this though, I think this is just a more accurate reflection on that.
