I feel like the Apple Watch app on iPhone is almost forgotten over the past few days/week. They haven't even added the 4 new guided tours. And on that subject, why the heck is Apple taking so long to push the information out on this launch. Whatever exec is in charge of that stuff, the online handling of the AW information, needs to step her/his game up.

They should know, just from the loyal following of people buying iPhones after iPhones every couple of years, the more information given=more watches bought. I know plent of people in my life now who wouldn't think of switching from Apple iPhones, but don't really understand the watch, the average masses. But Apple still has their loyalty!

Release the all the how-to's.
Give us unlimited gorgeous photography.
Unlock the Watch App Store.

BEFORE the watch even comes out. More buys. No brainer.

I think it happens when you pair the watch, thats why all the people(celebs and reviewers) have been able to use the apps currently available.

I am not sure we need the app store at first. I believe I saw an option automatically sync all of the watch app parts for the apps you have that support the watch. Seems like we have apps waiting already. I HOPE we can get a list of our apps that have matching watch parts because I really do not want ALL of the ones that are probably there.

Which Apple Store is doing this? That's really intriguing.

That's the store at Liverpool One. Loads of chances to do a workshop and 'bring your watch' before it's been delivered!!

This is honestly the most interesting development in this thread in many pages. If anyone wants to see for themselves, here's the link:

Apple Watch workshops that specifically say, "Bring your Apple Watch" starting on Wednesday, April 22nd.

Shout out to thegeekpatrol for the awesome catch.

I have seen in a review that you can select and pick what apps you load onto the watch.

That would be referring to apps that we already have that will be Apple Watch compatible. Like I have the CNET app on my phone, and the new update to it last week included to now work with the Apple Watch.

Sure enough that's what the page says. Whether or not it actually means something or was a mistake is yet to be determined.

All the apps that have an Apple Watch app installed by update on your phone will appear the "My Watch" section of the app. An app store like place that will show all apps that you can download/buy to then have the Apple Watch app. I imagine the Watch app store will have pictures and video demos of the apps just like the app store does for normal apps.

Almost certainly a mistake, but it's interesting none the less.

Something not only interesting, but downright relevant are the workshops occurring early in the day on the 24th. Apple definitely intends to deliver Watches on the 24th, and I still can't help but think perhaps some of them will get delivered early. My local Apple Store here in West Des Moines, Iowa has an Apple Watch workshop at 11:45 AM local time. Very few people get UPS / FedEx deliveries that early in the day.

My Local Apple Store (Manchester Arndale and The Trafford Centre) starts workshops from 9:30AM on Friday. I kinda think it's pointless. I don't know many people that will get a watch delivered before 9:30. You'd also need an exact delivery time to book the appointment. Not to sure if Apple thought this through.

I also wonder if Apple will give us a smaller delivery window rather than an exact delivery date like usual. Ie - delivers by 27/04.

The Indy store has a workshop at 10AM on 4/24. Do residential deliveries even come that early?

Sorry, but I don't think so. These workshops were talked about on this very site last Thursday. It's the same as any others. You don't need to bring in a watch for them either. Just like anyone can sign up for a Macbook workshop.

Notice in the second to last paragraph: "Due to constrained supplies, there will be a limited number of customers who will be receiving their Apple Watches on April 24, but users who have pre-ordered and do not yet have their devices can also attend to learn more about the device."

I'm not denying the possibility of early shipments, but this specific info is not a confirmation. I still think most, if not all of the 4/8 - 5/8 orders will get their watches on Friday. Personally, I'm in the May bracket and still have my fingers crossed for at least next week.

I grew up there and most recently lived in Broad Ripple, I don't remember fedex coming until around 1:00 at least... That said if they have expedited the orders, who knows :) If the notifications come out early enough, I always grabbed my stuff from the UPS hub on 16th on my way to IUPUI

Maybe they will surprise people and deliver on the 26th lol

Almost all deliveries that early are businesses.

Anyone who has watched Apple for any chunk of time knows that everything Apple does is calculated. Sure, mistakes happen (like the Liverpool store's 22-Apr workshops), but when something happens across the company at many, many, many retail stores, it's intentional.

Apple is having Apple Watch workshops in the morning hours on Friday. That much is clear. The question is: why?

The simplest answer is that Apple thinks people will receive their Apple Watches that early and will immediately book workshop appointments. Nothing crazy, just Apple thinks there is an audience for those workshops, even that early in the day.

For the other answers, I'll leave it to your imagination.
