Delivery Dates 4/24-5/8

I don't like the deliveries app. You need to manually refresh or have it running in the background (you can't double tap the home button and swipe up to close it) in order for it to work. I'd like it to "push" updates to me no matter what. Like ,Twitter,Facebook,Amazon...etc.

It's just an elaborate scheme for them to schedule an easy day! No other appointments + no watches = come in to work hungover or still drunk.:eek::apple:;)

So according to the homepage I take it apple has given up on the watch, and switched their focus to the environment?
The watch isn't coming 4.24 anymore
Its not even coming soon...
Its just gone :D

Well, there's "Parcel" app, which does what you want.
It has an webservice that the app syncs with and you get push notifications.

But as they have to run servers for you, you pay yearly instead once.

It's simply a matter of perferences.
I'm fine with running the deliveries app in the background.
iOS multitasking isn't like the apps are running full-time and steal your system resources.
 
I'm in the initial wave of shipments, hopefully. In my impatience I just ordered another apple watch charger. Now I just doubled my chances of Apple shipping something to me sooner than later. #pathetic

Which Apple Store is doing this? That's really intriguing.
 
So I'm gonna chime in here. I'm following the other thread with the 5/13-5/27 delivery range cause that's when MY watch is supposed to be delivered. However, my wife's watch (ordered after mine coincidentally) has the 4/24-5/8 range. So I'm hoping to see something soon. Although it'll kill me that she will potentially have hers first. Maybe they will come the same time? I dunno, wishful thinking I suppose

Lol! My situation is the exact opposite. I ordered my SS 42mm AW with classic leather band with a date of 4/24-5/08. I ordered another SS AW 38mm with modern buckle for my fiancée and her date is 5/13-5/27.

My plan is to give it to her as a surprise wedding gift. I wanted us to enjoy our watches at the same time. ....silly,I know. So if mine comes on 4/24,I may just end up waiting until I have hers too. That way we can enjoy them together. Corny,I know...
 
There were several clear articles that assumed the date was removed due to confusion that there would be product availability in store that day. No one has suggested it has anything to do with a lack of ability to deliver wave 1 on April 24th, In fact Apple have more or less said they will aim to deliver on that day and aim to deliver early for all other windows.

if your going my the classes at the apple store. On Long Island, only 1 store out of the 4 has appointments starting on Saturday. :mad:

Absolutely no. This is to avoid people thinking there will be launch stock in stores (there won't be, they are fulfilling shipments first), and to keep people from being disappointed when they see available 4/24 but go to order and see June.

I'm tempted to believe not. I think people being able to browse through and see all the Watch apps they can get before buying could convince lot of users to buy. It's free advertising for Apple. I imagine it will go live 12:01AM PST 4/24. Maybe 10:00AM or 12:00PM too.

I think it happens when you pair the watch, thats why all the people(celebs and reviewers) have been able to use the apps currently available.
