Delivery Dates for MacBook Pro Models Slipping Into November and December

MacBook Pro 14". No updated delivery date, and my delivery window is still 05-10 Nov. But my payment just cleared this morning, and the status changed from "Processing" to "Preparing to Ship," so maybe I'll also get lucky and get an earlier then expected delivery.

The 'Preparing To Ship' phase is so sporadic. I've had products showing that for a day, and I get tracking that shows movement, and other times it seems to be stuck in that state for multiple days...

I’ve seen the same with various Apple products. The worst was for my wife’s iPhone 7. It was stuck in processing for over 3 weeks. When I finally got the payment confirmation, it was delivered the next day…

In this case, my order has now shipped, and Apple says 03 Nov delivery. The FedEx tracking says 01 Nov delivery before noon, so … who knows, but it looks like they will beat the original 05 - 10 Nov estimate.
