delivery for pre orders in UK

I just checked with Apple. My UK HE order was one of the first ones placed and it says "Prepared for shipping". The lovely lady says it will ship today from the UK so I *might* get it tomorrow, which goes against what I was told when I ordered it - that I'd get it on the day of release.

Does anyone know where they ship them from to the UK. My tracking shows it up as an incoming international parcel.
Rep. of Ireland is outside the UK, this is why it shows the parcel as international.
i live in n.ireland and my pre-order for leopard is showing as 'prepared for shipping' so im hoping it might be here on time for the morning. I believe they have the warehouse in county cork in Ireland so hoping since i live in n.ireland i might get lucky but you never know with the postal strike last week or so

The postal strike didn't affect private couriers, which Apple will use to deliver your order. It only affected Royal Mail.

I take it your order hadn't got to "prepared for shipment" or did they let you cancel anyway?
I have ordered form HE as well and I'm in central london. I ordered on monday and it's still at "prepared for shipment". If its prepared, why don't they ship it already?

it was expcted to ship today but hadnt shipped by 1pm this afternoon so i cancelled plus i decided i wanted to cancel it so i could get the family pack.
i placed an order over the phone an the guy said the mac family packs wouldnt be released yet - well wouldnt be in the shops tomorrow! i thought ******** so i let him think he got some comission and then cancelled since he lied.
they may not have as many fam packs but i assume they will have a few since its a massive launch...

Just spoke to two apple reps, one on the phone, one online, they are stating that no deliveries will go out till tomorrow. This is so fustrating, shipping Friday means I wont get it till Monday or Tuesday! Don't they realise how long the weekend will be now!
I don't really understand the whole embargo crap to be honest. Sure, if it's an exciting product like a movie or a game then you want it to go on sale everywhere at the same time but jeez, it's the most insignificant OS upgrade I've seen since Windows ME.

Who delivered for you? TNT? I can finally track mine through TNT but I wont be hoping for a delivery today..its kinda late I guess..

It says on the apple website where it gives you tracking info.
Well I did as it said and gave them a ring and asked about the shipment and she said I would get it tomorrow and that it was still at the depot (so why does the apple page say its on the way to the customer!?).
