Anyone else with a UPS "Exception"?

Order my iMac (3.2GHz, 16GB, 1TB Fusion) on 1 December with application for Barclays finance.

Finance & order went through on 13 December
Preparing for shipment: 10 January
Shipped: 11 January

Original estimated delivery was 18 Jan, but was revised to 16 Jan (woohoo) late last night.

This morning the UPS tracker says "Exception" in an orange banner (rather than "In transit" in the green banner). The shipment progress table reads:

This is my first Mac and I'm extremely excited. I do feel like an idiot ordering the 32 gb of RAM from apple, I didn't know you could do it yourself until I started reading this forum and didnt want to change anything to my order in fear of further delay.

A great spec and sure you will enjoy your new Mac. RAM is always a bit of an issue with Apple - wonder why they don't cut the extortionate price hike they apply a little as it would surely mean many more of us simply buy from them but they never have. Always the same - massive hikes on RAM.

Sure you will soon forget about the price though when the machine arrives! Enjoy!
 
Also my first iMac, have not posted but have been there with you checking this page he google docs doc and order status at least twice a day.

Ordered on the 15th December and had the standard dispatches January status ever since, nothing at all has happened with the order. This morning it suddenly jumped to "Shipped - expected delivery 18th January!"

Great text message to wake up to after a rather horrible week of unexpected night shifts.

I am switching over to a Mac also.. Thought I would get up this morning and see change from processing to preparing because I saw movement on Dec 20th dates yesterday. But no luck yet. STILL PROCESSING :(:(:(

I keep telling myself it will be worth the wait.

I ordered on the 13th and have no movement so far, so you could be looking at another week yet... :(

Am surprised at how quickly these get from China to Anchorage to US destination. One day from Shanghi to Anchorage to Huntington WV (It's only 38 miles away:apple:!) FedEX is amazing. Looks like it might be today instead of Monday (Estimated delivery is Monday, January 14).....and if not, maybe I could just drive the 38 miles to pick it up ?!?!?:apple:

I think my iMac is with yours. I am hoping it comes today instead of Monday. My tracking has not changed. Appears to be stuck in China still

And it's been stuck at 'processing items' ever since. No money charged to credit card since ordering 32 days ago. No shipping dates or delivery dates, just 'Ships: January'.

Anybody else in the same boat? I've been pretty patient up until this point but I'm beginning to lose too much work so it's getting a little rough.

I've already given Apple a call thinking that the order may be stuck at some point and she didn't really tell me much, only that my order was in the system and will be shipped some time before the end of January!

that sucks, I ordered 2 WEEKS after you and I'm getting it on Tuesday, and the exact same configuration also

frustrated - especially when people have ordered in 2013 and their order is flying thru

Spoke to apple to check. Interesting insight to the term "shipping" which is defined different to "delivery"(to the end user)
Shipping just means its leaving the factory.
So when you see "shipping Jan" like me, it could realistically leave jan 31st and turn up a week into feb

I'd would consider selling my place in the queue (line) but you're likely to beat me to the front I you order now
