Ordered my 27 iMac Dec 12, shipped yesterday....

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
16GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X8GB
3TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
APPLE MAGIC MOUSE
Apple WL Kybd (English)+UG

I ordered a 16gb Ram kit from Crucial to up to 32GB, if I would have thought about it I would have stuck with 8 and just done all 32 from Crucial, would have come out cheaper....but oh well.

This is replacing a 2011 Mac Mini i5, 1+1TB, 16GB server (which conked out on me) and a 24" Cinema Display....now the question is, to keep or not to keep the Cinema display as an extra screen......hmmmm....

Delivers the 16th....just in time for me to go on Vacation on the 18th. :(

frustrated - especially when people have ordered in 2013 and their order is flying thru

Spoke to apple to check. Interesting insight to the term "shipping" which is defined different to "delivery"(to the end user)
Shipping just means its leaving the factory.
So when you see "shipping Jan" like me, it could realistically leave jan 31st and turn up a week into feb

I'd would consider selling my place in the queue (line) but you're likely to beat me to the front I you order now

*sulks*

usually when it ships, it is delivered 3-4 days later

order cancelled

Online order cancelled:

Original Order Date: December 31st 2012
Date to ship: January (any time)
Date Cancelled: 1/10/13

Core i7 3.4Ghz
8GB RAM
GTX 680MX
1TB Fusion
1 Superdrive (free)
1 Wired keyboard (replacing wireless)
1 Magic Mouse

Reason - found identical model at an Apple retail store.

p.s. - at the store upon leaving the Apple Manager insisted that they have an armed security guard escort me out the door, to my car and make sure I leave safely. Win for Apple CS!

Dip, trying to edit the WIP2 page of the google doc file, so that it takes into account all 375 orders instead of the first 250.

I get some errors with the formulas used in columns E and F. Not sure how to solve them and I don't want to screw up the entire document :D.
If you got the time to look into it, would gladly appreciate that :).
Will give a more complete overview of how apple is catching up on orders :).

Ordered my 27 iMac Dec 12, preparing for shipment today....

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
16GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X8GB
3TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
APPLE MAGIC MOUSE + TRACKPAD
Apple WL Kybd (English)+UG

Also ordered the 16GB memory kit from Crucial. This is replacing a 24" iMac, core2 duo 2.4 with 4GB and a 320GB hd. I might experience skid marks from the speed increase...

i have the same configuration, but i ordered on the 26th. i've noticed others with more ram, but otherwise the same configs are shipping today and they ordered on the 12. so that would mean anywhere from 8-14 days, assuming there are no hangups.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I add to the spreadsheet? I ordered on Dec 21 and would like to add for statistics purposes, but how do I correct then numbering on the left-hand side? Thanks.

And don't worry about the numbering - this column is a bit of a waste of time. Once in click on the filter for the order data and resort A-Z (may take a while!).

Aww, today must be the cutoff for Jan 16 delivery then. My birthday is Jan 16 and was hoping to have it by then...meh :(

Yeah! My 7. Desember order was finally updated today. Now made ready for shipment. Can't wait. :D Btw. my specs are 680MX/SSD 768gb/i7 3.4ghz. This is easily my most expensive computer purchase ever...

Apple email for me stated Jan 16 delivery, but when I check tracking on FedEx it says the 15th. This could actually be because I live in Memphis though.

Interesting that Apple is bulk-producing the i7/680MX/1TB Fusion configuration. Probably could have saved myself a week or two if I wanted to spend the money on the i7. But I most certainly did not.

Possible, but I order with the exact same configuration here in California on the 15th and I am still waiting.

I guess the difference might be that I order in the educational store. I hope I get it before the end of the semester when I graduate or I will have to pay more. :)

I think it's hard to judge, because certain world regions seems to be prioritzed higher than others. I ended up with i7 myself, mostly because I could, and machine was already outragiously expensive (with the SSD).. :D The i3 with HT makes a big difference in gaming, so it is at least plausable that hyperthreading with quadcores could make a noticable difference in games a year down the line. At the same time, the next generation of consoles could bump up the graphics demands quite a bit, thus making 680MX outdated.. Oh well.. :) The i7 is nice to have, but certainly not necessary..

Curious to know, where did you see / hear that this was the case? I've got two orders which match that description (one with Apple, the other through a reseller), neither of which have moved at all over the last month.

Apple Stores are keeping that configuration in stock. Multiple reports here of people walking in and buying one.
