iMac delivered this morning. Nice to see a busy shipping day for others today.

Ordered 12/20
Shipped 1/11
Received 1/14 MD, USA via FedEx

3.2 GHz i5 1TB Fusion 675MX 8GB RAM

FedEx truck must have been warm as the iMac barely needed any warming time on the table to reach room temperature.

Gave it a thorough check and feel very blessed to have what appears to have no flaws inside or out. No image retention, no backlight bleed to worry about (though there's a slight glow at the edges which I expected), no yellowing across the screen, no dead or stuck pixels, no scratches on the glass or aluminum and the fan is nice and quiet. It's not silent, but it's very quiet. Also verified I have the Seagate HDD not the WD Blue that is not as fast, so I won that lottery as well.

I added 8GB of Crucial RAM via a single memory module which works great as well.

Best of luck to all still waiting here, wishing you speedy shipment and receipt of flawless iMacs.

how can you find out which hard drive you got in your imac?

I'm beginning to think that shipment times are also dependent on the following two items:

Factory: Obviously there are multiple factories handling these orders w/ different production schedules and most likely quantities produced.

Location: The Alaska versus Memphis flight. Those west of the Mississippi seem to have a different schedule compared to those east (and nearer Memphis).

Anyone know how you can find out the flight that your package is arriving on? I know some people a few pages earlier were talking about interactively tracking their flights, but I don't know how to find out my package's flight number.

Super unnecessary, I'm just so excited for it to arrive

Worked for me!

My delivery has been changed from 16th January to the 15th (tomorrow :D ), cannot wait :) UPS seem to be delivering everyones a day earlier than the ETA.

Ordered 27", i7, 1TB Fusion, GTX 680MX... On 6th December 2012

Current ETA: 4-6 weeks. (Australia)

Not happy.....

So happy that you have yours and I hope all is going well with setting it up.

Mine got a few hours to warm up and is currently 'Transferring Information" from my time machine back up. I have a bout 10 mins remaining and should be able to use it soon!! I must say, the 27" screen is very intimidating coming from a 13" MBP. I am not complaining at all, just in awe :)

I'm also coming from a 13" MPB, I am not used to so much screen space. First thing I did was install the 32GB of RAM before ever turning it on, painless process and worked like a charm

Ordered on 12/31/12. So I'm in the last part of december orders. Hopefully this week it'll ship.

Configuration

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
32GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-4X8GB
768GB Flash Storage
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
APPLE MAGIC MOUSE

who to call?

Hi all, so possibly stupid question, but I've been reading about who have "called apple" and then there orders have started moving along, or they get more information about when it might ship, etc. but I don't know exactly what number to call... I've gone to their website and there seem to be about a hundred different "support" numbers, but none have to do with shipping and such, so I was just wondering, what number did you all call? Thanks!

Also, I'm in Canada, if that makes a difference...

Lol it's funny you say this. I was reading the same and called apple last night and this morning my comp was shipped out. Dec27 order. I don't know if it had anything to do with it but this is what I called. 1 (800) MYAPPLE. When voice comes on say you're calling to track order than keep pressing zero

Great thanks! I just called and am now on hold... Hope I get someone helpful...

I also called last night about my December 22nd order and it did not change at all.. still processing...
so this does not seem to work for everyone. I did exactly what was outlined above, too.

So if I have this:

- 1/14/2013 - Monday
10:32 pm In transit SHANGHAI CN
10:31 pm International shipment release - Import SHANGHAI CN
2:56 pm Left FedEx origin facility SHANGHAI CN

you would say that I'm on Flight 90 to Memphis?

Same as mine getting excited now...I just don't know when it arrives to start the migration on a week night that might take up to 6 hours or wait till the weekend

Alright, just got off the phone with apple - can't say I've really learned anything new - though the man I was talking to did say that after a charge has been placed on the credit card the computer normally ships within a few hours, so I guess that's good to know... Now I guess it's just time to wait and see if this call gets my order moving!

So my tracking number starts with a 5, so I just put 5 in the tracking area? All the flights are showing from June/July

Has anyone who ordered on December 31st moved out of processing? I called myapple yesterday I was told the same thing as is listed on the online site.

Mines been sitting in Louisville Kentucky since Sunday at 8:19am with no movement. Since its not stopping in the US - heading for Canada, I'm not sure what the hold up is.

Although given that some folks are still processing I guess I shouldn't complain too much, but it is such a tease!

Any idea how long it will take to transfer 300 gigs to new iMac using FireWire 800 with thunderbolt adapter

wheres a thread that shows how to install it? i havent looked around yet

it's incredibly easy, with the iMac turned off, unplug the cable and use a key to push the button above the power slot and the RAM slot pops open. Take out old RAM and put in new RAM. It's too easy.
