first of all im not complaining about ****, obviously you didnt read thoroughly enough...If they were to tell me you can order your mac but were not sure when itll ship thats fine with me, next october? fine with me...but i was told when i ordered and it also said on my delivery date jan 4-9. Thats why im upset... i also planned a vacation around that just to make sure id be home for the delivery... over $4,000 bux for a new cpu i think i have the right to be a little pissed and feel a little misled...If it bothers you so much to read peoples threads that havent been as fortunate as you in aquiring their machines then dont ****ing read them at all..I posted a comment to see if their was anything unusual about being told that and if other members here have experienced the same thing...were suppose to be here to help eachother and to put our fears to rest, not make stupid ass remarks such as yours...

You miss a part...there is also people on the forum having fun at observing people like you whining because on December 24th their iMac scheduled for delivery in January is not arrived.
It's a bit like watching monkeys fighting at the zoo. You remind me Zoolander.

Which fiasco are you talking about? Delivering in December what was promised to be delivered in December?

Can someone here list the delivery date that was given to them at the time of order vs. the actual delivery date? Since when early delivery or matching delivery is a fiasco?

I ordered on 30 November, delivery date was 21 December - 2 January, then I asked for a trackpad and delivery moved to "January" and status "processing". I cancelled that, finally placed a new order on 12 December which had an expected date of January but moved immediately to "prepared for shipping" and delivery date 21 December. I received it on 20 December.

first of all dude none of that even made sense, and i dont consider one post about delivery time complaining, all i was trying to do was help any other forum member who might be close to my order and delivery date and give them a heads up to call apple so as to not be surprised if this happens to them also. second of all if you need to poke fun at other people on here rather than helping them with their problems then maybe you should go to another forum, its been my experience so far on this forum that most of the people on here are good hearted, caring, knowledgeable people who actually enjoy helping others learn more about our macs...Its sad that theres a small percentage of forum members on here such as yourself who'd rather poke fun at people rather than give helpful advice..How do you even have time in your life for such nonsense? Dont you work?

You certainly are a huge contributor and helper with your whining about your iMac being shipped by the time Apple told you it would be shipped.
My contribution is in trying to explain people how a supply chain of this magnitude work and making them understand why some orders can be delivered earlier than others.

But please, go ahead and keep on asking people to send you order details so you can file a formal complain to apple about your iMac not being delivered ahead of the stated shipping date.

Reality is you are just a frustrated kid that is envy about others having already received their toy.
I haven't received it yet either, but I'm happy for the others and will wait till my stated delivery date passes before complaining.

Pretty much same spec as me. I ordered on the 13th ... Still Processing

Called... got nothing

I ordered my 27" iMac on December 7th, still says processing.

The configuration:
  • 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
  • 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
  • 1TB Fusion Drive
  • NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
  • APPLE MAGIC MOUSE
  • Apple Num Kybd(Eng)+User's Gd
  • COUNTRY KIT

I called Customer Service to see if I could get some shipping info a little more exact than "January." Nada. I asked a couple stupid questions about the Superdrive and Blu-Ray (to which I already knew the answers) in the hope I might get one tossed in for free...nothing.

Oh well.:(

Ordered 14th December and still showing jan. Tried calling apple with the old any news and by the way I have a few questions about the SuperDrive.

Well the answer is no updates on delivery and no offer of a free SuperDrive. oh well.

I ordered my 27" iMac on December 7th, still says processing.

The configuration:
3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
3TB Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
APPLE MAGIC MOUSE

first off im not a "kid" im 29 years old, im also a stocks and bonds broker/trader and its not a "toy" to me its for my work.. Ive never claimed to be a huge contributor, thats why i come here seeking advice from those that are more knowledgeable on the subject, but i try to help anyone whenever i can and its this type of nonsense from people like you that makes me not even want to come on here. Noones asking for the supply chain to be explained to them, and if we were we wouldnt be asking you..I never once mentioned or even came close to saying anything about filing a complaint with apple..nor would i ever do so..so please dont put words in my mouth... all i was saying for the very last time was that i wanted to make everyone else aware of something i had just been told by apple that the january delivery date might be pushed back to february...If it helped one person then it was worth posting..I for one foolishly planned a family vacation around my initially promised delivery date of my $4000 "toy",so i could make sure i was home for the delivery.. so im pretty sure anyone with a brain will understand how that can be frustrating. Again judging by your former posts on here it seems like you have a track record of just looking to start an argument with people rather than coming on here to help them..Idk what your problem is, and frankly i dont care, but do me and everyone else a favor, if youve got nothing informative or helpful to say then take your trash somewhere else...and spare me the "im explaining the supply chain" crap because you can very easily explain the supply chain to people without being a dick!..This will be the last post you receive from me as i do not have the time nor the inclination to continue wasting my time on this trivial ******** with you..

Dec 1 afternoon order- now on the truck for delivery

I ordered in the afternoon of Dec 1 with a promised delivery of 12/31 to 1-7. I was stuck "in processing" until this Tuesday. Then things started happening fast. I got notice of shipping with an estimated delivery of Dec 28. But the actual package got to Oklahoma City last night, and is now on the truck for delivery.

I ordered the 27 inch 3.4 I7, with the 2 GB graphics, 1 TB drive and 8 GB. I will add in 16 GB of memory and a Lacie external Thunderbolt 256 GB SSD that will be my main boot drive.

This marks a return to the Apple fold for me. I got my start in I.T. doing tech support for an Apple re seller when the dream machine was a Mac SE/30.

This makes for a GREAT Christmas surprise. I definitely never anticipated delivery before the end of December. Merry Christmas everyone!

So you plan your family Christmas vacation around the expected delivery date of a computer and don't want to be called a kid? Baby maybe?

Chill out broker, hope you enjoy your vacation without worrying too much about your iMac.
And sorry for the part of someone wanting to fill out a formal complain with Apple, it was a post from some other mature Wall Street broker not you, my fault and apologies.

PS
please save yourself from embarrassment in stating that you need a Mac for trading on-line.

Ordered on Dec 2 (3:55pm - Colorado) and just went to
Preparing for Shipment...
delivery estimate was 28 Dec - 4 Jan which has not changed.

Core I7 3.4 1TB fusion 675mx

Currently on the fedex truck for delivery - few more hours

re-ordered in December

I ordered Nov 30 and got delivery today. So excited!
The computer is dead. Seriously - switching out power cords, difference wall outlets, different surge protectors. Dead. So frustrated.
Called Apple. Awaiting Apple's email with the no cost return slip so that I can get a replacement.
Delivery is now expected in Jan.
Rats.

and quite frankly i dont see how i can be construed as one of the "monkeys" in this situation, if you read both posts thoroughly enough before you made your premature comment you'd notice that i was merely defending myself against someone who has a track record of intentionally insulting and annoying people on here...You yourself would do the same if he came at you in the same manner would you not notohyr???
I understand. But for whoom are you both doing this? Not for me, I lost interest 2 pages ago and I think many other members of this forum feel the same way.
For the other guy? You know he's not giving in.

For yourself maybe? If you like to try something different, use 3 words.

I am sorry.

Easy.

i guess thats the best apology im gonna get from you, even though it seemed a little tongue in cheek, but i atleast appreciate you correcting yourself..I also should add one more thing that i never said i "NEEDED" my mac for work, I said i "USE" it for work...but anyway i was just going over my old posts and i realized that you had actually previously helped me in the past when i had questions about the external drives..so i guess your not completely evil after all...but anyway ill take the other guys advice and apologize as well...lets just help eachother out from now on instead, works better for all of us..happy holidays you thick headed bastard lol
