Ordered on Dec 2 (3:55pm - Colorado) and just went to
Preparing for Shipment...
delivery estimate was 28 Dec - 4 Jan which has not changed.

Core I7 3.4 1TB fusion 675mx

My Dec 2 order just moved to Preparing for Shipment and my CC was charged

Core I5 3.2 1TB fusion 675mx

Mine has SHIPPED! Expected delivery date of December 24. Too bad I will be out of town until Christmas, so I'll have to wait until December 26 to get my hands on the package. Delivery history: Ordered December 3, Preparing for Ship December 20, Shipped December 20, Expected Delivery December 24.

I started this thread, and this is my last post because mine has been DELIVERED! One day early by Fedex and boy they shipped it quickly. It left China December 20 and arrived in San Francisco via Memphis on December 21 (one benefit of shipping from China, the product arrives in the U.S. before it was shipped).

Signing off...Order: Dec. 3; Prep for Ship: Dec. 20; Shipped: Dec. 20; Delivered: Dec. 21.

It seems there's no logic at all for shipments, I ordered mine on November 30 and it's still processing.

It is amazing that there is no sense of an orderly line-up.

Some people who ordered on November 30th have not heard anything beyond processing, and others who ordered later have their machines.

It would be too novel for Apple to have an indicator of where in the queue an order sits and an estimate of the rate at which the queue is serviced.::apple:

Let's just hope us late orders/shipments have some of the current problems ironed out of the assembly line.

Ordered December 2 and just got Preparing for Shipment!!!!!

Ordered late december 2 and this happened just right now. Been checking all day for the past couple days for this change. Currently running a 2009 mac mini with an OWC SSD which I installed and 8 gigs of ram. This bad boy is on its last legs but boy has it paid for it self MULTIPLE times over!

My 27" BTO was placed on Dec 1st and it shipped today with scheduled delivery on the 24th. However, I had it delivered to my office (to avoid signature issues) but we're closed Mon/Tue next week for X-mas so I'm out of luck and won't get it until the 26th... unless I arrange to pick it up at the regional UPS center.

I'm in the same boat. You have to make arrangements based on the Apple delivery estimate. I am happy that it is arriving early, however since it's a tricky time of year with the holidays, it is throwing a little wrench in the plan. If I'd have been aware of the actual delivery date, I'd have had it delivered to an address where I will be present.

Either way, without the prolonged waiting and drama of all this, you really wouldn't get a proper Apple experience, and outsiders wouldn't think us a cult. :apple:

Excited to be able to have this under the tree. Kudos to apple for pushing these out, and to those still waiting, hang in there!

Just from whet I'm seeing here, no. One order at late as the 3rd has moved, but I haven't seen anyone later.

I ordered the 8th. Still processing. No cancel button (I suspect because of AppleCare in the order.). No authorization or charge on card yet.

Wow! Cool. Maybe the rest of us are not so far off.

Either way - I am starting to expect that "Ships january" means closer to the beginning than the end of the month.

I ordered on the 2nd, still processing...

3.4 i7
8 GB RAM
3 TB Fussion
GTX 680MX

Ordered my 27" iMac with 1 tb fusion, 680 graphics card, and 3.4 i7 chip late December 2. Just got the message that it has shipped from shanghai china at 6:02pm on dec 22. I assume the time is shanghai time.

Does anybody know how to get the flight it might be on?

So, I called into Apple. They're expecting to ship my Dec. order next week, and upgraded me to Next Day delivery, though I doubt that's going to change much. I was really, really nice (called in on a Sat, before Christmas - told them I appreciate how hard they're working, and how hammered with calls they must be.) At the end, as suggested, I said I had a question about the SuperDrive, and the representative added it onto my order for free. Win :)

On the flip side, probably won't see my iMac till early Jan...
